would foreman have beaten jimmy young

    Foreman wanted Frazier on the end of his big looping shots ,thats why he pushed him back,when Joe did get in he ran into uppercuts ,George wasn't averse to bending the rules ,it's a wonder he didnt hit Frazier when he was down.Foreman was never pretty to watch ,but he was very effective.

    Yeah, I think young Foreman's rep for being slow is undeserved. He could be quite fast in the early rounds. Right before his fight with Ali many pundits said his hand was as fast as Ali's. As evidenced by the fight, that was mostly hype, but he was much faster that many give him credit for today. The clumsiness and awkwardness he sometimes showed, especially when he got tired, probably has a lot to do with today's popular conception of him being slow.

    Probably so, but at some point he was going to run into a skilled,strong heavyweight that could take him.

    Foreman would have never been able to beat Jimmy Young. Young, as did Ali...had Foreman's number.
