Vitali’s best wins were against Corrie Sanders, Herbie Hide ,Sam Peter and Kirk Johnson. None of em were in Frazier class but that don’t mean Vitali wouldn’t beat Frazier if they met.
Do you think Frazier has the height, reach, power and style to open up a once in a career cut like that ?
Pretty much yeah , because ive seen him do it to Ali with my own eyes. . Ive seen him bob n weave with intensity and speed against a guy who was far greater than Vitali in skills , speed and footwork. You also seen it , so why do you believe Frazer could not bob n weave himself passed Vitali's 1-2 arm punches?? Who did Vitali ever beat that was like Frazer. What are you basing your opinion on? The hash reality for you is Vitali was an exact replica of Joe Bugner. . He was taller but Bugner had a better jab. Reality does not suggest Vitali would perform better than Bugner. He’ll get tagged a lot on the way in and while he’s inside. Vitali would bully him in the clinches. Frazier is literally going to have to work his ass off in there which is exhausting and may take effect as the fight goes on. Historically the bigger Frazier’s opponents the harder time he had. This would be the largest, strongest and one of the most durable men he’d ever face.
Vitali can’t fight on the inside. We may see a DQ for holding.I think Vitali always had trouble with elusive opponents
Comparing joe bugner to Vitali Klitschko is like comparing hot dogs to hamburgers. Bugner was non aggressive and played safety first tactics and didn’t have much power. He’s was also not as big or as strong as Klitschko. Vitali wasn’t the boxer that Ali was by any stretch but he hit a lot harder, had more height and the strength to man handle Frazier in the clinches as well as push him back into range. Those arm punches take their toll too and if Frazier’s left starts to hurt he’s basically f-cked. But yes I know...... Chris Byrd !!!!
VK has no inside game whatssoever, no uppercut and does not clinch..... He is a attrition puncher who likes to peck away 1-2 arm punches from range. If you allow the K brothers to dictate range and in VK's case 1-2 from the out side you are in for a long night, or in WK's case jab and grab Both fall apart when you bring the fight to them , see Lewis/Byrd/Sanders/Brewster.............they cannot fight on instinct, they have to think first to let their hands go and when you pressure them they fall apart. Frazier WILL bring the heat to VK, frazier does not have to worry about upper cuts or getting pushed back because VK does not do that.....if Frazier slipped Ali's jab he is going to slip VK.s jab......VK might have a great chin but paper skin and nobody knows how he takes constant body punching......and I believe Frazier will land leaping left hooks upstairs due to VK's low guard and lean back style way of defense. For VK to win he would have to stay on the outside exclusively, aka be on his bike for 15 throwing 1-2. If cream puff Byrd can close the distance at will and Grandpa Lewis simply just walking in with no finesse in fair to assume that Frazier will be in VK's grill non stop setting a pace VK is not used to and IMO VK cannot win a upclose battle. Now I believe WK would jab and grab Frazier to death but Frazier will get to VK and beat him.
Do people not remember that Joe Frazier was decked twice by the 5’10, 200 lbs Bonavena ? Do they not remember him being taken the distance by Joe Bugner ? how about him winning the title from a former middleweight who hadn’t fought in 17 months and actually gave him a good go for a few rounds? And lastly being absolutely manhandled by Foreman who’s only real win if note to that point was Chuvalo and who at 6’3” 220 lbs was nowhere near as physically imposing as Vitali Klitschko.? the only thing anyone seems to recall is Vitali tearing his rotator cuff against Chris Byrd.
