It is interesting watching Ike against Tua,Tua landed a lot of hooks and Ike took them well.Of course Tua is not the volume puncher Frazier was, but he throws a steady bombardment all through a fight ,he is slower of hand and foot than Joe but has better single punch power.Ike took those shots ,but had some opportunities to take half a breather Frazier would not give him those, could Joe floor Ike ? Possibly, could he stop him? I would say no.Could Ike floor Frazier? I would say yes ,could he stop him ? I would say yes .Would he be likely to? I dont think so. Frazier would apply so much pressure I think Ike would spend a lot of time on the defensive.I pick Frazier by close decision ,it would be a better version of the Quarry fights ,and closer.Ike has a shot at a stoppage ,but I go with Joe.I do think Ike would clean up the division today, with the possible exception of the Klits, and he would give Wlad all he wanted there too.Ike would smoke that big tub Peter, and butcher Valuev imo.Vitali has more sangfroid when he is attacked Wlad panics when his opponent gets overly aggressive, Vitali keeps it together better ,and if he could keep Ike at long range he would spear him all night.

Ike is 1 of the best none champs head to head and he certainly would have been a belt holder and perhaps the best if he didnt goto prison.

Frazier got bombed out by Foreman but Ibeabuchi doesnt hit as hard as Foreman. If Tua fights 50-50 with Ibeabuchi then a superior Frazier probably does a bit better, but Joe may taste the canvas once or twice along the way.

The fight is somewhat unfair because Ibeabuchi was using a load of steroids where as Frazier didn't

Ike is a great case of the benefits of a career ended short.

This is a case of Frazier being underated and Ike being OVERATED.

I cant put Ike in the class of fighters Frazier beat. Ali?? ?? cant see it. I also dont think Ike can do to Joe what Foreman did. I may even think Frazier ends it around 9 or ten on a TKO. This is whole levels of class of fighters we talking about, and Ike is not there. Tua is also not there, as Lewis prove it.

When Ike wasn't motivated and therefore manic and borderline insane in there his performances actually suffered to no end.

I caught his fight against Marion Wilson a few days ago when Marion was lulling him to sleep, fighting a "negative" fight.

Marion actually stunned him at one point pretty early on, which made me nearly crap my pants. The commentators even made a big deal out of it. Strange world.

Anyway, Tua made Ike revert to boxing late in the fight, I'd be extremely confident in saying Frazier makes him do the same.

Oh, also, Byrd hurt Ike to the body. That's actually what really pissed off Ike and set up the KO, I believe it was a straight right to the body that visibly bothered Ike. He then went bat**** and soon KO'ed Byrd.

I wonder what Frazier could do to him downstairs.

Could Frazier withstand Ike's power, Tua had a great chin and so did Ibeabuchi, Frazier has an almost great chin is this the difference.

I hope to God you don't seriously believe Ike has that kind of power.

Joe Frazier is so underated by people on forums.

Ibeabuchi never fought the same quality of fighters that Frazier did, he is an unknown quantity.
Saying that Frazier would get formaned- that is absolute crap.

The Tua Ike fought was indeed a volume puncher, and for the whole 12 rounds of that fight. Ike didnt break the punch output record in this fight by himself.
Is the Tua of this fight as good as Frazier? No, but and it is a big but, he does have elements of a good Frazier in this fight. He does throw the left hook hard, fast and often, he does keep his head on Ikes chest and bang the body and the head and he does fight low and move reasonably well. Tua also threw some great right hands, a punch he does throw better than Joe.
I think Tua hits every bit as hard as Joe too.
I still think Joe would edge Ike purely coz im not 100% sure Ike beat Tua. I have no problem with the decision but it was razor thin for me, therefore i think Joe who was just better than Tua takes this one

I can't see Frazier taking the punishment Tua did and still keep coming, the only fighter I see doing as well as Tua did in his fight with Ike is a peak Tyson.
