Would Froch give up chance to win the S6 if Calzaghe answered his challenge??

Yeah the trash talk and clash of ego's would be a f*cking scream. :) if they fought and providing Cal was in good shape Joe would tie him in ribbons and shut him out..

I dont believe Carl truly believes he could beat joe to be honest he just wanted a huge ££day..one of the easiest picks you could ever make. I do like Carl though a top fella

    - I think Froch would fight everybody in the super 6, and then go and fight Calzaghe straight after - that's his personality - A Warrior.

    - Calzaghe was dependent on his athletic ability, his boxing success can be mainly attributed to his immense stamina (he was full of the stuff).

    - He's stupid enough to snort coke, but he's smart enough to know athleticism is something that does not last long.

    - And I think he knows he's skills, especially at 38, are near enough to the point where they will not suffice against the 168 elites.

oh i agree froch would...but joe won't be around then. he's 38 now and can still be a force if wanted to be. but bumping up next to 40 when the tourney ends....joe won't risk it.

I hope not. We need more of these super 6 tournaments. If all the weights had them think what great things would happen? We could have a real champ at each weight division.

I think he should. He has a bad style matchup with AA. He is going to get KTFO.

    -- KTFO for good money?
    or
-- Maybe out boxed (due to coke use) for GREAT money?

    Easy choice.

Joe would get a lot of mileage out of ignoring Froch. But since we are on the subject, IF Ole "white nose" Joe were to come back, who would be a likely/available opponent..... Hmmmmmm :think

I could make a suggestion. :yep

yes...these tournaments are a good thing. i agree. these guaranteed fights means that the big names don't have to be worried that a loss will mean no big fight next.

Something tells me that Froch is too smart for this. I can see him saying hey, a few years down the road, a win over a washed up Calzaghe is not going to mean much. Winning the Super Six...that's big-time. even getting fights in with these guys and losing would look better.

However, I think Froch will be out after the group stage 3. Maybe then the Calzaghe thing can go down, but even then I could see Froch pulling a Calzaghe and saying Joe doesn't deserve a shot at him.

Winning the Super 6 is better than a win over any version of Calzaghe.

right...froch may be out. his stock is high and calzaghe isnt that far removed from fighting. after the tourney he may be too old. it ALMOST makes sense for it to happen soon.

why would froch wait to get his head turned around by aa? this would be HUGE.

i say this but i really am looking forward to the S6 matchups.
