Would Fury have been able to evade Fraziers hooks better than Ali in TFOTC?

Frazier`s hooking ability was amazing, could Fury slip more hooks than Ali did?

I don`t know if I`m so sure, but I`ve just seen a study of the Wilder fight and Fury was making a defensive mistake by moving back in a straight line (AJ does this too) and that could hurt him moving back from Joe but Frazier`s arms are much shorter than Wilder`s he`d have to cover a massive amount of ground to catch the retreating Fury.

yes .. not because he's faster or has better reflexes.... He'd be retreating more and use his size more. He'd try and spoil...Ali was there to win and wanted to finish that man.

This. Fury is a lot slower than Ali and a much bigger target. Fury would be getting blasted with right hooks and uppercuts to the body. Once Frazier starts working Fury towards the ropes he’d definitely land his left hook.

It’s a catch 22. Fury is there to be hit by the left hook. It’s a hole in his defense - see round 12 of the Wlad fight- Wlad just didn’t do it enough and Wilder can’t because he can’t box.
Frazier as we all know had an amazing hook and threw it repeatedly. The difference is Frazier would look like a child in the ring with Fury. While Fury is not as fast as Ali - he doesn’t need to be at 6’9. The guy is a giant. And he moves extremely well for a giant. Frazier would have a hard time landing. Probably gets some through but I think he actually lands more on Ali who much more in Frazier’s range due to his smaller height.

David Haye didnt seem to have much of a problem landing on Valuev, same height difference too.

Frazier knew how to throw the gazelle punch and frequently fought taller men than himself. He'd be fine, Fury wouldn't be able to handle Frazier's pace and accuracy with that big left and the rights to the body.

Valuev was a statue Fury is not. Frazier’s hook would have to travel a long way to reach Fury and he would have to really come up from his crouch. 5’11.5 vs 6’9 even if Fury is more like 6’7 that’s a lot of ground to travel. He could hit him sure but how often. I don’t know.

Fury would have boxed Haye`s ears off and is much better than Valuev was, having said that Frazier was far better than Haye, dreadful comparison.

Frazier would be landing his hooks to the body, then around the tenth round he'd administer Fury an anesthetic and put him to sleep

Ali was pretty terrible at avoiding Frazier's hook tbh, for a man with such talent he was technically lacking.
