    I edited before you quoted:

I'd still heavily favor Mayweather over Alexander, but stylistically he is going in with a much better chance than anyone looking to swarm and clobber him on the ropes like all these morons keep trying with virtually no success (except for DLH and Cotto sporadically...and please nobody say Ortiz because any success you saw was illusory, he was right where Mayweather wanted him all night and landed next to nothing that wasn't strictly by accident)

Definitely the best method would be a taste of his own medicine, but obviously the problem then becomes who is qualified to prescribe it. Very few people have that combination of natural talent, pedigree and #HWD that he embodies. Like, none. :yep

...yet if we're talking about earning more rounds against him while still losing - yes, a pure boxer in his own mold would fare much better than any bruiser.

Maybe even a slightly different mold, since he obviously knows his own style in and out and it would be a toss-up whether being flummoxed and taken aback by his own weapons used against him would be canceled out by his intimate familiarity with his own style and knowing how to neutralize it. For that reason, while I think h2h the Mexican would've knocked the Ukrainian out, I think prime Dzinziruk with his supreme jab would have enjoyed much greater success against Mayweather than prime Margarito.

Nah. But he would make it interesting, he's improving and has solid timing.

I like Danny but i dont think so. He's got a good lead right hand but you need a great 1, 2 like Marquez to sneak it in. Marquez landed some very nice jab right hands. Danny might be a little too slow on his feet as well. I just see Dannys style playing into Floyds. Garcia is still young and growing tho so maybe after a few more fights he will be ready.

Roughly as interesting as Guerrero (after the 3rd or 4th, without the early surprise contact...)

There is no X factor out there

Mosley had a plan it worked, at first

Memory might be betraying me here but Cotto gave varied looks, 6 and 8 were the rounds that were universal Cotto. In one round I think 6 Cotto moved and beat Floyd in the middle of the ring with the jab and hook, round 7 he tried it again but Floyd adjusted since the previous round

Round 8 Cotto won on the ropes mauling Floyd, round 9 Cotto came out and tried it again though this time Floyd adjusted to the previous round, Floyd doesnt take very long to notice and exploit something

Seeing as there isnt a blue print out there on how to beat Floyd over the course of 12 rounds and there isnt this obvious danger out there Ive given up to the assumption if Floyd is to lose it will be the Roy Jones way

one night some one is just gonna see an opportunity or just get lucky with a punch and lights out. I say this because A-it almost happened vs Mosley and B-there isnt a guy I see capable of winning the entire fight and taking it to Floyd or taking it away from Floyd

I kinda agree. Thing is, if he's only in the game for 5 more fights then I don't see it happening. Hes not gone up and down in weights like RJJ and he's not entirely reliant upon superior athletic ability. He could lose speed and still win fights employing a more BHop like style because he's so technically superior to just about anyone else out there.

Canelo and Pac are still the biggest fights out there. I don't understand why people are so quick to write Pac off these days; prior to the KO he was beginning to look like the Pac of old and I think he proved himself more in the 4th fight than he did in the 3rd. Canelo brings better speed and power than anyone he's fought in recent years; I spose you could speculate as far as saying he might give a better outing than Cotto, not entirely sure what else you could speculate!

I was tempted to edge Ward ahead of May in p4p prior to the Guerrero fight but May really is still no.1. He's pretty much exactly the same as before but just the tiniest bit less offensive (which isn't exactly a bad thing). As for Garcia, he'd get outboxed for 12 rounds after he finds out he cant land an early bomb on him.

No on Garcia. Hell no on Khan. Perhaps on Alexander. His style suits him best vs Mayweather. This is contingent upon Mayweather atrophying and Alexander capitalizing on his boxing and power.

Yes he would, and I like Floyd alot.

But Danny can time everyone, and is a very smart boxer who has a chin. Those 3 things are very important. We already saw him time Zab who gave May problems, and he timed Khan who for all his flaws...is a fast fighter. So he can hit the fast guys.
