Paulie is not a legit welterweight. He was coming off a robbery over Cano- a man who either side of that robbery lost to the ancient Morales and Mosley, and only won a title of a guy who bought it. So, I'm sure he could go up and fight guy like Shemenov or Denis Grachev- and not require a dodgy SD to go through them. :deal
Broner moving up in weight cause otherwise hed be pulling JCCjrs. Kind of funny to see some people backing clowns and hating on people who take their craft serious but hey, to each their own.
Don't know about that. But GGG would push Broners **** in at 154lb if he ever goes there, along with his dad and that comb.:roflatsch
You're full of sh1t and you know it. As far as division depth is concerned, I'd challenge you to make an argument as to why SMW is stronger than MW. You'd fall flat on yo face. :rofl "At least move up" is flattering, means there's nothing left for him at MW. :conf :nod
Adrien Broner - Super Featherweight / Lightweight / Welterweight Noteable wins - Perez, Demarco, Rees, Malignaggi (6 title fights - 5 stoppages) Gennady Golovkin - Middleweight Noteable wins - Proksa, Rosado, Ishida, Macklin (9 title fights - 9 stoppages) Truth be told Broner has had more titles in weight divisions but truth is below welterweight he was the bigger man on the scales and had trouble making weight, having ridiculous size advantages over the likes of Perez, Escobedo and the 5'4 Gavin Rees let alone having that close win over the light hitting Malignaggi along with having a powerful manager in Al Haymon Golovkin in comparison has only won a title in the middleweight division but has stopped everyone he has faced in dominating fashion. Macklin is his biggest win thus far along with Gabriel Rosado (who was in a close fight with WBO Champ peter quillin) and tough journeyman Nobuhiro Ishida. Broner is in a good position, Welterweight is the glamour division with names like Mayweather (Who Broner refuses to fight) Pacquiao, Rios, Bradley, Marquez, Brook, Khan, Alexander, Malignaggi, Maidana, Thurman and possibly Ruslan Provodnikov Golovkin on the other hand has : Felix Sturm - Refused to fight, now has 2 losses since Daniel Geale - IBF - Won WBA Super belt and vacated NOT to fight Golovkin Sergio Martinez - WBC - out injured and wont be available until late 2014 Peter Quillin - WBO - Refuses to fight Golovkin Martin Murray - Visa Problems which may be resolved by fighting in Monte Carlo Thats it. Golovkins only option is to move up to 168 and fight : Froch/Groves - IBF/WBA Ward/Rodriguez - WBA Super Sakio Bika - WBC Julio Cesar Chavez - tied up with Vera, struggling to manage 168 Robert Stielglitz - WBO Whilst Broner moved up 2 weight divisions, he skipped out on 140 choosing a light hitter like Malignaggi and Golovkin seems to have no problems moving up to 168 to fight Ward/Froch who are the top dogs of the division Sometimes the better / more accomplished fighter isnt always the one on paper
Top Dogs at 168 are all tied up for the time being, hes better of waiting at Middleweight to get Murray/Martinez then move up in late 2014. Golovkin was supposed to be exposed by Macklin and ended up bullying on route to a body punch knockout in 3 rounds. since then no one wants to fight him, He demolished Stevens and Rosado aswell as knocking Ishida out cold Broner on the other hand skipped 140 (Matthysse, Garcia, Peterson) to fight Paulie Malignaggi. Since then EVERYONE wants to fight this guy, respect to him for taking the Maidana fight but i think this could be where his hype train ends. He couldnt put a dent in Malignaggi and arguably lost, looking how heavy he is going into the Maidana fight I dont think he will pull it off . . . . this is the first fight ive seen Broner in which I think he will lose
iM BEGINNING TO UNDERSTAND THAT FLOYD IS BOXING ROYALTY. he's getting the treatment retired greats get while he's active. Im not hating anymore on people who say he should go up to 160 or whatever. all it does is show his greatness. only greats are so much embedded into fantasy matchups by the boxing republic.
