El Pollo is killing his own career................he is a coward who will not fight for the 160lb. title, when he had one, dropped it, said he could not fight Golovkin at 160, that is was too heavy for him, then signs to fight Chavez at 165! I hope Chavez knocks all the feathers off him, but Chavez will be so weak that they will have to carry him to the ring.........

I think GGG would be much bigger if he were Mexican, probably bigger than Canelo.

Mexicans are huge fans of boxing, and there's a reason why Sanchez deliberately changed GGG's style to be more macho and "Mexican" and tried to associate him with the "Mexican style" moniker. He used to be MUCH more crafty and cerebral in his early career, and boxed his way to a win. If the KO came, then it came. Now he's pushing for the knockouts.

Trust me, Brook gave GGG more problems than Jacobs will.

You could be right. I was very impressed with Brook. Guy's a beast.

Jacobs needs to land big, and fast, or he's going to have problems.

Brook had no chance in that fight, he did well for a welterweight but he was gunna get his head busted had that fight gone longer. Jacobs is at least is a real middleweight, with speed and power, I expect a GGG ko but if Jacobs doesnt fight scared it will be interesting to see how GGG can take a punch from a real puncher.

    Very probably.
With a real warrior like style, putting the fear of Zeus in the majority of the division and actually having Canelo coming up with excuse after excuse not to fight him, normally would make him a lot more popular with his countrymen.

National bias is very strong, as shown by many posters here from who it isn't too hard to figure out their nationality.

Yeah I can tell. You've always had a serious bias for those fighters from Montecarlo ;)

    Ssst! Don't tell anyone!
By the way, I'm not biased... Monte Carlo fighters are just genetically stronger, better and smarter as the ones from inferior countries. No harm in just acknowledging that ;)

True. Even FLoyd and Pac could not do huge numbers without the right "B" side.

If Golovkin were Mexican, he wouldn't have ducked BHOP, Lara, and Ward. Instead he'd have fought them and have three loses.

Golovkin wouldn't have been shutout by Mayweather. He would have decapitated that little guy.

Canelo despite massive size advantage over Floyd did nothing.

But to his defense Canelo was a little green when he fought Mayweather.

Pacquiao just needed to get into the higher weights to do big numbers. He was doing over 300K buys as a Featherweight. That's just insane to think about.
