I honestly dont think Warren will risk Degale against Groves this year. I think this fight will get made some time next year.

It was McAllister not Burns. Most people thought Jeff won.

I don't think Sky will let it happen they have invested decent money into both and know that it could be a huge fight down the line. Also Groves has a fight on the October 30th so that would be one short turnaround for such a major fight I don't see it happening YET.

If both sides want it why not?

If Smith seriously is stepping up to Euro/title eliminator level he can vacate his British title making a DeGale/Groves fight for the C'wealth and British titles. The loser can still come back.

If DeGale gets hold of the British I see it happening early next year.

There's just not enough depth in the division domestically to keep them apart, plus these are the fights we should want for our British title - not prospect vs gatekeeper all the time.

Neither are going to be pushed to world level any time soon with the division as it currently is, therefore the fight makes the most sense for all parties.

There can always be a rematch, immediate or otherwise, and the loser can always come again.

Sorry my mistake. I knew he fought Burns but read the thread wrong. I thought he meant two undefeated guys with less than 20 fights :patsch

i wouldn't want it two happen at the moment anyway. i rather watch them both get further in their careers and enjoy seeing them both get to world level first. it would be huge though if it did happen. degale on points though.
