Appreciate your opinion but nah from what i saw ODLH was just poor, nothing is gonna change my opinion. Saw that fight many a time and don't wanna sound like i am taking anything away from Pac but it was evident how bad and frail ODLH looked. He looked sick.

Hatton would of beat him that night (imo).

I dont know why or "how" guys cant see this. There two entirely diffrent fighters. Hatton does everything in straight lines with scant regards for defense. He struggled with Collazo but wont struggle with the much bigger DLH because Pac made him look dead at the weight? Iv never heard such bull**** reasoning in my life.

If nothing is going to change your opinion, try posting something other then just statinh how DLH looked. Maybe saying HOW Hatton wins for starts?

I take it you did not notice how often Paulie landed his left hook onto Hatton? If a bunter like Paulie lands most hwe throws, what do you think happens when a HR hitter connects as often?

And what about the movement Pac used to get close and out of range? You think Hatton will just emulate that?

Like I sad, I won;'t say it would be impossible for hatotn to win, but his too close win over a very past prime Juan Lazcano still rings clearly.

If you don't want to take anything away from Pac, then don't. Pac had as much to do with DLH looking frail and sick as anything else did. He was in there battering him with a steady stream of aggression and smart movement. Hatton doesn't have the speed, movement, or even REACH that Pac has.

You need to come up woth more then "DLH looked sick".

Simple. Pac did it, so anyone as good (or perceived as good) can do the same. :patsch

    Wow, terrible logic. Well done.

Using your shitty logic, if De La Hoya was strong enough to hang with Hopkins and Pac was strong enough to hang with De La Hoya, is Pac then strong enough to hang with Hopkins? :patsch

But De La Hoya was fail and looked sick, how can anyone say otherwise, his condition had a massive impact to the outcome of the fight from the get go. The Lazcano fight as reported Hatton was ill during the build up, but yea Hatton wasn't great. He looked good against PM and would of beat IMO ODLH in the same way, pressuring him, body shots. In that condition i can't see him lasting long.

Even Freddy Roach said De La Hoya was totally shot.

Coming down so far in weight at that stage of your career is preposterous and near-suicidal. So yes, Hatton would have comprehensively beaten De La Hoya and so would plenty of others - For a similar situation, look at Chris Byrd trying to boil down to LHW.

If Pacquiao beats Hatton at 140 it proves more in the eyes of the true, knowledgable fan about his status at a higher weight than defeating a very frail DLH possibly could have done.

I am not saying otherwise. I am saying Pac had as much to do with that as anything else. Are we supposed to believe that DLH was so weak he would get beat by anyone that small now? How'd he make out of sparring if he was so weak and sick?

For Hatton and his 22 inch reach to land effectively, he'd have to get VERY close to DLH. He's still eat that jab and left hook all night, even from that version of DLH.

Pac used his speed and movement (you going to ignore that?) to do the damage. How is Hatton supposed to do the same when he doesn't fight that style? Hatton roughs up and tries to smother his opponents, not use speed, movement, or rapid fight combinations.

Well according to these polls Hatton dosent beat anybody! I guess he's beatn all 45 of his opponents on luck. 1st Kostya was gonna knock him out, then Castillo was gonna knock him out, then Malinaggi was gonna out box him. Wow, amazing a fighter beats everyone on luck. We'll see if he beats Pac with luck too

Oscar would atleast throw and land a couple on the hitman per round. Power connect will be at the high range for Oscar.

Oscar De La Hoya in his prime would have beaten both men in my opinion, but that night he was just totally weight drained, Hatton would have won.
