    What a sad ending i had. A sure champion in the making, but my life was derailed by a horse. Who was I ?
    P.S. I had everything but luck...

    You got it H. Luther McCarty was the best "white hope" prospect for Jack Johnson's crown. He was big, could hit, box,everything but he was fighting
    journeyman Arthur Pelkey and in the first round was dropped by a light punch and died. A couple of weeks before McCarty fell off a horse,suffered a head injury that was not detected, and died as a result...
