JL Lopez kind of reminded me a lot of another big left hook only tough guy from a few years earlier than him, Lupe Acquino. They'd look good for 1 or maybe 2 fights in a row against top 10 competition & then would show up just going through the motions. Classic cases of guys that just could not stay at the top which is definately a skill that's needed.

I totally agree but his name was Jose not Jorge. Mastrito had it all he was just lazy in the ring,Oscar who was in his prime then said that Mastrito would have been his toughest fight. He hit soooohard and had a rock chin,he also had some boxing skills he just rarely used them because he was too lazy. Probably one of the most gifted but lazy fighters i have ever seen. He looked brilliant against a prime Yori boy. His power had more affect on Yori boys than Titos did. Lopez dropped him like a sack of potatoes a couple times, and although a few stopped Yori boy Lopez is the only one i knew of that put him on his ass. He also swallowed Yori boys best shots like if they were Carne Asada Tacos:lol::lol: Lopez also let Quartey off the hook after scoring 2 knockdown to salvage a draw. But he let quartey hit him with the Jab all night before he decided too unleash on him. If he would have started fighting earlier he would have knocked out Ike no doubt about it.

His manager or trainer(i forgot which one) once said that Lopez would rather surf and smoke weed :rastathan train.

Joe Calzaghe should have fought better fighters in his prime, ditto Ricky Hatton - rather than defending meaningless titles against cans.

Frank Bruno should have beaten Mike Tyson at least once.

Neither Wlad or Vitali can be considered linear champion unless they take each other on.
