Would have prime George Foreman knocked out Alex Stewart? Do you think that prime Foreman would have struggled with Stewart who beat up on old George's face.

Prime George Foreman swung more wildly and tired more quickly than old George. Younger George was also quicker of hand and considerably more nimble and athletic. He would have torn up the good but less than special Alex Stewart. Kayo for Foreman inside of eight rounds.

I see young George definitely by KO, via the short route, 3 rounds tops.

Undoubtedly. If he knocked him down & hurt him when old & much slower, Stewart is likely going within a few rounds.

In answer to my own thread, I do believe that George Foreman of the first title bout against Joe Frazier in Jan 1973 takes out Alex Stewart much the same way he blew out Joe King Roman in 1973. Stewart may land a few but then Foreman smothers him with a whirlpool of hard thudding blows that cause Alex to fade into the canvas, he would not get the chance to bloody this version of Foreman's face. The shoe would be on the other foot.

yup. that's pretty much a spot on observation of old school George Foreman.

I think a prime Foreman would of finished him within 2 rounds, Stewart could be caught cold and was a slow starter. Hell an old Foreman almost finished the job early.

Another factor is Stewart was visibly scared vs Tyson, I think a young Foreman who was pretty intimidating and menacing, could also have the same effect on Stewart.

All in all I don't think Stewart would be allowed to get into the fight, and this is where the less patient younger Foreman's style, actually fits better for a slow starter like Stewart.
