Would having a tuneup fight have helped JT win?

If he had stepped in at 168 with someone completely shot or a total journeyman and won every round or gotten a KO/TKO, would it have gotten his confidence/drive/determination to a higher level and then would JT have won the rematch decesively?

Remember-- Pavlik is not undisplined like Duran was in the second SRL fight, I assume he didn't gorge himself after winning and an immeadiete rematch was no danger to him.

Not trying to take anything away from Kelly-- he won, and I believe he beats JT 9/10.

I just want to see if everyone agrees with me that not having a tuneup fight was a mistake.

I think it would have helped him yes. But he still gets credit for jumping right back in the lions' den. Now he can move on with his career at 168.

I Really Dont Think So. He Worked Out The Kinks That Caused His Loss In The 1st Fight. But It Still Didn't Change The Outcome.
