People think that was he dehydrated for the SRL fight .. and people say well he rehydrated to 150 , blah blah blah ...
that was his natural, walking around weight and he weighed it .. he had no problem making 147. they were trying to add a little weight on him ,, they wanted him the bigger stronger fighter .. he wasnt

Spot on. He simply got beat by a more mature, compete fighter in one hell of a bout.

    None.

I was talking about welterweight champions, who beat a light heavyweight champion, at some point in their career.

In Walcott's case he beat George Gardner.

Seldon is the only guy on this list I give Hearns a chance to win. Hearns jumps in and replaces Joe Hipp in the summer of 95 at the age of 36. Not saying he wins, but he's got a real shot because of how limited Seldon was.

Hearns will be too ancient to beat the slippery Byrd by the time Chris wins his titles barring a real nasty and unlikely right hand, and Valuev would tire Hearns out and KO him eventually.

Hearns was terrible by the late 90s and wouldn't have had a chance in hell from that point on, not that he'd ever have had an especially good chance.

I guess his best opportunities would be turning it into a farcical track meet against 95 Foreman or an out of shape Douglas, but I imagine he loses both. So let's say he gallops to a decision over a fat Douglas who basically stops trying....I dont think that would add more to his resume than the Hill win. And Holyfield or whoever would annihilate him right after that.

    Seldon even probably destroys him.

    So the answer is no.

Seldon was more of a chinny mess than limited. He had a great jab and nice handspeed and power. I don't think Hearns would find his chin.

There`s no way Tommy could have beaten a top 10 heavyweight in 1989 anyway, Ray hurt him a heavyweight punch would have destroyed him, he might have lasted a few rounds v some of the early WBO champs, those fighters were way down the pecking order, Vitali was the first decent WBO heavyweight champ, Hide had the belt for a spell and he was a natural cruiser.

Hearns-Tyson would have been must-watch TV! Tyson would ko Hearns within two, but I mean, those names together!

I dont think Hearns would fare well against the top brass. But, if he won, then sure,. he'd be in the conversation!

Ray Mercer and Tommy Morrison were pretty good (Morrison when not being starched by Michael Bentt, haha!)

I still would make Seldon the favorite and honestly expect he probably wins, but out of all the options and the timeframe given, i have faith Bruce could figure out a way to lose this fight

not to disagree with thinking outside the box here ,,, but its on the same lines of matching Floyd with Ray Leonard, Hearns , Hagler and what not ... hes got no chance ...... Hearns will take the fight against anyone ... Floyd no ... but there's really nothing there for Hearn's to claim more being a belt holder? its a big ask for him ... and he still isnt the GOAT for it ... so ... whats the point ?
he got sparked at 160 a couple times... thats your answer right there for not being the goat
SRR way more active and never stopped ... etc

That's your opinion. I'm asking what people think Hearns could do to potentially make him the goat. It's just for fun. Even I would only give Hearns maybe a 15-25% chance of beating the weakest HW belt holders.

OK ... I get it ... so to answer you .. he needed to not be sparked twice at 160 ... but since he did .. he would need to unify the HW belt .. .champion !! not a ***** klitchko situation ...... not willing to fight each other.. but to Unify everything and defend once,,,, if he did that ... move over SRR ... "the motor city cobra" is the new GOAT
    you dig now ?
