Would Hearns have koed Benitez ?

    It was a very tactical fight,but there were a few occations where The Hit Man had Benitez is serious trouble at the bell. But then again he did damage his right hand.

    That was most likely why Benitez went the distance.

    But for the most part Hearns' right sailed over Benitez' head. Hearns won via the jab. For the most part Wilfred did a great job avoiding the right.

    Yeah I dont think Hearns "hurt hand" had anything to do with not stopping Benitez. Benitez was a master at limiting a guys ability to land in general but the right in particular. It was the same in his fight with Duran. Duran couldnt land his money punch to save his life. I think this fight went exactly as it would have regardless of an injury or not, and that is assuming that Hearns was indeed injured. Tommy was always quick with an excuse when he lost or failed to win in spectacular fashion.
