I know Bob is rated much higher than Maske and rightly so but I don't see Bob landing that killer punch.

Yes, it would be a shock. Maske was a fine fighter but Foster is an all-time great light heavyweight. Whether he KOs Maske or not, I believe Foster wins.

No, it wouldn't have been a shock. It would have been a distinct IMPOSSIBILITY. Unless Maske could replicate the survivalist abilities of Pierre Fourie, he would have been knocked out, or at the very least beaten soundly on points over 15 as Fourie was.

It would boil down to the difference between a very good titlist vs a great champion.

In amateurs was Maske much more successful, so I rate him overall higher, he was more skillful and has one of the highest ring IQs.
He is also a lot taller than Foster, with 1,90m and won't let whom come close to him.

No. Maske was a 6'2 light heavyweight with day before weigh ins who likely entered the ring around 190, and his chin was good. Foster was so bad against guys that size that Maske would have a good chance. If Maske had real power, he'd probably win.

Yes. I think Maske would be a very big underdog against Bob Foster

The real shock would be when Maske KO's Foster.

And if Maske could replicate the Frank De Paula 1969 knockdown.

If the fight is in Germany and Maske is still there at the end, the Judges would see to it that Bob hadn't got a hope !

No, Maske was a master boxer.

‘ATG LHW’ is just letters. Maske was based in Germany.

It would be rather a shock if Foster manage to outbox Maske and win it fair (with a neutral referee) than vice versa:
He was just a physical fighter who could only go forward, a bit limited (and maybe tailormade for him). Henry Maske could counter him all night long, as he did with Prince Charles Williams. He is tactical very clever, but Robert Foster had only one game and couldn't anticipate so well (Maske even studied his opponents during the fight). The best chance is an off-night like he had in the first Rocchigiani fight, from round 8 onwards.

Hearns has actual better chances to win here. As he had a similar size
