Yes Holyfield would have a very good chance, especially the young on his toes version of Holyfield.

I agree Liston was more skilled than Foreman. But I can see Liston mentally folding when Holy is still there tooth and nail.

You mean the way people put too much stock in Holy's "struggles" in winning efforts?

Why not? He had had both bigger and more dominant wins at the world class level than Ali had had entering the Liston fights.

Why? He's held his own brawling with even bigger and comparably powerful fighters who didn't quit as readily as Liston.

Liston intimidated his opponents and they were smaller than him...folley/patterson/machen/martin. Ect.....holy wouldnt be scared and would be bigger than liston and i think liston hits harder......... But evander knocks out sonny liston late.....

Liston dying young, and the mystery around him, plus his image, make him overated. Look at what he did: won title, lost it right away, did nothing after. He beat good fighters on way to title, but so did every other champ, including Holyfield. Holyfield is way better in ever way. 1980's, 1990's, still contrending, he is great. Liston was good, that's it. Also his quiting on stool in one fight is something I can't see Holyyfield, or most any other champ, doing.

I'd love to see Liston try and get dirty with Holyfield. Holy would show him the ****ing definition of the dirty.

Oh, Liston would have the same bowling ball growing out of his head that Rahman had. :hey

If Holyfield ended up blinded from whatever conveniently always ended up on Liston's gloves, I'd hate to see what he did.

Holyfield actually bit someone as an amateur, and hit Michael Dokes in the balls at the same time he rushed in head butting him.

He did so for no reason.:lol:

What the hell? I guess if you consider psalm 71 "no reason"...Yeah, it's in there, Russ. ...It's in there.
