I'm sure they'd get it...I am not sure how good it would be though...Hopkins is great in front of the cameras and would make a great story, Joe does have those one-liners but he is a quiet man and doesn't act so much for the cameras...he's not that much of a character...

Hopkins would be a great 24/7 but Calzaghe is a very dull person. He ain't Ricky Hatton, he doesn't have the following, the passion, or any of the humour.

Whether Hopkins could make it good on his own, I don't know.

Calzaghe is not dull. I find his comments funnier than Bernard Hopkins, who sounds like he's on crack half the time, with his inane ramblings

Besides, its about more than being a comedian, its interesting to see how fighters build up for fights

Does anyone else think Hopkins looks like a giant teddy bear ?

Bernard is going to look even uglier at the end of this fight

He's fighting a living legend, big step up in class for the lad

I think it's worthy of it just because I've enjoyed watching both 24/7 series so far. The only thing I would worry about is the fight not meeting all of the hype that would be built up.

Mayweather/De La Hoya 24/7 built an enormous amount of hype and the fight didn't really meet the hype and in my eyes was a bad reflection on the 24/7 series. Mayweather/Hatton also built an enormous amount of hype and the fight turned out to be great and I think it kind of redeemed the reputation of the 24/7 series. I'm afraid a Hopkins/Calzaghe 24/7 series would create a lot of hype but come fight time, I'm not completely sure it would deliver. :think

B-Hop could definitely do it. Did you see the press conference where he told Floyd Ricky Hatton stole his suit? LOL

would love to see how Hopkins gets in prepared, especially considering his age.
But like logdog said i think it would overhype the fight, because i think it is going to be a "boring" strategic fight.

Yes - Hopkins would play Mayweather - Joe would play Hatton.

I think the personailities of both fighters would make this work.

absolutely. It's the perfect type of fight to do one because both are so different. The personality contrasts would make for great TV. And I don't find Calzaghe to be boring. He's not a loudmouth braggart, but he seems a lot more interesting and well spoken than De La Hoya is. Plus, his father seems like a unique character so I think it would make for entertaining TV. Obviously Hopkins' part would be must-see.

I'm pretty sure with the success of the last two PPVs that had a 24/7, HBO will be wanting to do this with any big fights in the future.

Which begs the question, how much do you think they pay the fighters to do these??

I don't think Calzaghe would agree to it.
