Let's say that all of the above would be favorites and if Hrgovic had a good day, would he have a chance against them?A Agit Kabayel Joseph Parker Anthony Joshua Martin Bakole
Bakole and Kabayel aren't all that proven... Who knows! All three, including Hrgovic, haven't really proven they're much beyond gatekeepers yet, but might be able to if they'd get on with making decent fights. Parker would cruise through Hrgovic on points, and Joshua (even declined as he is now) would be very likely to do so, too.
He's 2-2 on his worst 4 days honestly. I really like Kabayel think he might be "the one". Bakoles very fearsome too. I don't think AJ and Parker have a good shot at beating Hrgovic. Going on what we know right now Hrgovic is at absolute worst the 4th or 5th best HW and more likely the 2nd or 3rd.
Hrgovic has proven a lot indirectly thanks to Dubois. Thats the one thing that seperates Hrgovic from Kabayel and Bakole at this moment at least. Hrgovic being a top 5 guy is pretty much a sure thing.
That loss has aged fine, as has his 50/50 with Zhang. Beyond that, his resume is extremely thin - it's not easy to say exactly where he fits in right now.
Its thin but doing well against Dubois and Zhang is enough to prove hes a top guy. If you do well against proven guys you become a proven guy thats how credibility works. While Kabayel might be one of the most qualfied contenders ever in terms of regional accolades he hasn't proven himself in that way. I actually think Kabayel might be the best HW I have a hunch he is but I'm just saying Hrgovic is more of a "sure thing".
I'm obviously a Parker fan. Hrgovic definitely has the talent to win that fight. However I wouldn't have any confidence that he won't gas out and get outpointed instead. As for the others, it's really hard to say - Kabayel and Bakole are unproven and it's really hard to know where current Joshua is at - is he done or did he just have a bad day at the office?
He can beat all of them because he's big, young, has a chin and experience. But after letting us down with Dubious he needs to redeem himself. Maybe first some self-reflection in the Croatian wilderness. Chasing some wild Serbs to get back his primal instincts. Afterwards he needs to fly to London and barge in on an AJ press event and call him out Charr style. Usyk should be able to get the shot at Dubious/Parker before AJ, so AJ needs a fight and they both lost to Dubious. Then he needs to KO AJ cold at Wembley. From there his boxing career will be salvaged.
pure delusion here a gifted DEC from the zhang fight doesn’t mean he’s a top 5 boxer. Guy got clowned by DD and mentally quit he should go fight arslanbek who’d prob beat him
