Would HW Boxing benefit from Haye Winning?

yip indeed.hw division needs more competitive fights between contenders then we wudnt be having a problem with ppl moaning about who the title challangers are.if hayes wins and stays but the division stays the same with no1 fighting each other then what is exciting about it???untill promoters stop giving there men easy routes untill they get a title fight the hw division is going to be this way for quite sometime...plus if haye wins then retires itl be disastrous for the division with guys winning belts then milking the **** out of them against twats....

Yes, even if he did fight the two Klitscho brothers and retire there would be belts up for grabs creating more exciting fights without Haye.
This is the first time casuals have been interested in the HW division since Lennox. Certainly in the UK.

 

And in Germany now is the first time casuals are interested in the HW division since many many many years, thanks to the Klitschkos. They'll lose interest again if Haye should beat both Klitschkos. So the HW division might win over casuals in the UK, but lose them in Germany, which is a bigger market.

 

Well, I don't know. In case of a Haye win, we would have at least 1 more mega fight in the division (Haye-Vitali). But Haye has failed to give us good HW fights for the last 2-3 years, and I fear we would be treated to opponents like Ruiz or Audley after that again...
I think Haye could also win over the boxing fans in the US, something the Klitschkos have failed to do. But then again, boxing fans in Germany would lose interest, and boxing is arguably bigger now in Germany than in the US. This is largely due to the Klitschkos. Just look at the viewer counts and fight attendances. Only MEGA events in the US like Pac-Mosley can rival a normal Klitschko title-defense in Germany in terms of attendance.

Imagine if Haye brutally KO's Wlad - the Vitali retribution story for the next fight would be amazing!!!

Ultimately, the ony way we get to see another well-publisized and relatively exciting HW match in the next couple of years is if Haye wins.

 

I'm missing the "It could be disastrous" for the division option.

If Haye would beat Wlad (very possible), and does not retire unlike what he said (again this week). And actually fights Vitali, then regardless of the outcome of the bout the division would benefit if Haye doesn't retire even then and we have an undisputed champion ruling the ranks.

BUT, if Haye beats Wlad and retires after we get a whole different kind of situation. Wlad could easily pick up one of the stray belts, but after that he would be avoided like the plague.
We get sh#tty matchups, between half-@ssed champions and undeserving challengers fighting for their portion of the "Heavyweight Championship of the World and Beyond" and we get none of the better fighters fighting eachother.

It will lead to obvious frustration, sanctiong body bullcrap and fights noone cares about.

I know a lot of Haye fans like to believe he's not going to retire, but that's the one thing he always has been clear about.
He normally says one thing and does the exact opposite, but I"fear" this isn't one of those cases. The fear is only if he should somehow win of course, if he loses big he'll be irrelevant anyway.

 

You're right, it'll be like the years after Lewis retired, with 4 different beltholders but no true champion in the division. Although if Haye does go on to fight Vitali he'll probably be stripped of one of his belts, or Vitali could get stripped for not fighting Stiverne or Austin

 

The division badly needs some exciting fights. An exciting champion would be a real bonus. Wlad is clinical and efficient. But BORING as hell to watch.

 

How does Wlad produce more boring HW fights than Haye? Haye has managed to produce some outright stinkers at HW so I don't understand where this hope comes from.

So you are actually hoping fatasses like Arreola, Povetkin, Eddie fat chambers, Helenius and all other fatass bums to become world champion, despite they are fat as **** and not in shape? Is that what ya really want? Well then i guess yeah.

But a true world champion stays in shape like Haye and Klitschko. Without the Klitschko's , haye and Adamek, the heavyweight would been completley death. I hope that Fury, Boystov, Chisora and eveen Seph mitchell will be the future of the heavyweight scene.
