    Would if Floyd Patterson had challenged Ernie Terrell instead of Muhammad Ali in 1965? After Patterson defeated George Chuvalo on points in Feb 1965, he was offered a title shot against WBA Champion Ernie Terrell, instead Patterson opted to fight World Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali on Nov 22 1965. Who would have won between Patterson and Terrell?

    Good one,Richard. I see a fairly close fight ensuing. Terrell's reach would cause Patterson problems but the latter's handspeed would compensate and that would take him to a decision.

    Floyd Patterson would be declared the new WBA Champion and fights a title unification against World Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali who asks What's My Name? on Feb 6 1967.
