I'll second this - I think Williams has been pretty jobbed by the business of boxing and it'd be unfortunate to see him get badly starched at a weight that may not be his best.

BUT, I like Pavlik, too - he came up the right way, earned his shot, took a chance (unwise, it turned out) against BHop, seems like an alright guy (dumb comments about the Super 6 aside).

He did, he came up in taking risk against Zertuche and Miranda two guys that were red hot, and he stopped them both, then he moved in on Taylor and wow~
Not very many young up comming fighters would be willing to take that many risk back to back like that.... I still have no idea how anybody could hate on Kelly.

    I would be crushed.

I almost had a damn heart attack at the Home Depot Center, watching the Margarito fight. And after the First Quintana fight, I was so bummed out, I didn't even hang out at the Pechanga Casino afterwards. I will be in Atlantic City, of course, but will not enjoy the rest of the night unless my boy comes out victorious...

i agree. it would bum me out big time. williams is a nice guy he's the only boxer in the sport today that i wouldn't want to see ko'ed just for the sole fact that it would majorly depress me.

nothing wrong with that. shouldn't be watching boxing if you can't see someone get ko'ed. something about williams though makes me not want to see him ko'ed. kinda like some people felt with jmm.

What if Paul comes out and fights a really smart fight, stays fairly even round by round, and gets sparked out late in the fight?

Remember guys, if he answers the bell for round 10, he will have done something no other middleweight has ever done! McKart couldn't do it, and he is one tough son-of-a-*****. Zertuche couldn't do it, and he had never even been knocked down. Miranda couldn't do it, and he was widely regarded as a monster and the next big thing at 160. Taylor couldn't do it at 160, and he was the undefeated, undisputed middleweight champion of the world. Paul has a very good chance of making it into the late rounds. All he has to do is fight smart.

Doesn't matter because it won't happen. Pavlik is not on the same level as Williams. That said, I still like Pavlik, he's a meat and potatoes fighter...basic. But Williams is gonna whip his ass. Count on it.
