No, Vitali will most likely win all rounds against Valuev and UD him, late TKO isn't impossible either. Against Toney it would be a massacre, Vitali wins all rounds and TKOs him in the 6th or 7th.
It would be funny to see Toney talk smack leading up to the fight, only to see him drop an apple in his throat, and a load in his pants after the stare down in the ring.
Would be funny indeed but won't happen. Toney is good for nothing but trash talking, when Vitali sent him out an offer when Toney desperately needed it the most he turned it down immediately with the most pathetic excuses ever even though HE was the one calling the Klitschkos out all the time and insulting them. Toney is just a completely clown when it comes to the Klitschkos, just talk and no action.
Exactly. This is why I'm not sure about the 12 rounds or 9 rounds. Valuev 'could' get a UD with his stone head. But the most likely thing probably is a stoppage before time I think. Toney would be massacred.
Yes, Vitaly vs Toney is the fight I want the most. We need to see Toney cry like Sam Peter when he quits on his seat. Oh wait.. the only time he can quit on his seat in before round one... because I'm not sure he will get to see the chair again if he were to leave it. It would be such a joy.
Toney is propably the toughest fighter right now and he doesn't fear anyone. Regardless if Vitali would beat Toney he is still inferior fighter compared to Toney.
Yes he does and the proof is out there. Toney was the one calling out both Klitschkos over and over in every single interview with insults and trash talking. Even after his NC to Ruiz, he called out Vitali and said he wants him next, after he was exposed to cheating and using roids he was obviously banned from fighting for the WBA title and suspended. That's when he was in a **** poor position where he literally needed anything he could get, Vitali approached him right there with a career high pay-day which he publicly turned down because he wanted more money despite being in a position where he had NOTHING to offer and was the one getting a shot at the best fighter out there, career high pay-day, a man he insulted in every interview and a chance to erase the Ruiz fiasco even though he accomplished nothing in the division. Toney is nothing but talk and this fight will never happen.
Even as someone who dislikes James Toney, I wouldn't want to see him in there with Vitali. It would be 12 rounds of James taking all sorts of bombs, big shots and stiff jabs...it would be like watching Tito against Pernell Whitaker all over..except with a harder hitting Tito and an easier to hit Pernell.
Let's not get overboard here, Vitali looked his old self and was dominant against Peter who just didn't have a clue how to deal with him, but hey that doesn't mean he's the second coming of a young Ali. Klitschko wouldn't have his size advantage against Valuev, and that's what Vitali can do best - use his physical advantages to full effect. Still, I'd say he's more skilled than overrated Valuev, and maybe even faster, I think Valuev might go the distance tho and win a couple rounds... About Toney, well we have to see what Toney has left when he (most likely) faces Tony Thompson in december. Thompson has a similar style than Vitali, he relies on his reach and fights unorthodox. Let's see how Toney looks against Thompson before speculating, but he has to bring his A game and get into good shape to win that's for sure. I don't think Toney can win against Vitali at this point, but if he indeed has something left then he could give Vitali a tough fight, make it difficult for the giant to hit him and work Vitalis body with his superior inside fighting. If we suppose that after beating Thompson (which isn't a 100% given) Toney shows up in the best shape he still can get into, he would have his moments against Vitali and win 3-4 rounds but ultimately lose a decision.
That is right because skillwise Toney is just superior to Vitali. Vitali is a guy who relies on his reflexes, awkard style and mainly his height to win fights. If a guy standing 6.1 would fight like Vitali, he would get knocked out. Vitali uses his height to his advantage.
Toney wouldn't win a round and probably get a merci-corner stoppage around round 9. Valuev would make a very competitive fight.
