My thoughts exactly. I think Toney would definitely win some rounds. Valuev probably gets shut out...

None of the above. Valuev, perhaps. Toney, no.

110% wrong. Boxer Larry Donald should have beaten Valuev. He was robbed. Vitlai would own Valuev.

If Don King can lure Lennox Lewis into a re-match, Vitlai will deal with him.

As an FYI, Wlad who was #1 in the world offered James Toney a title shot when Toney had no belt! Toney ran from the offer and 1.3 M, and fought someone else for ne belt and less money.

I would not mind seeing Vitlai whip big mouth.

no ur wrong. if u knew anything about boxing, u would know valuev has improved 110% as a boxer since 2005. he is a much different fighter now, this version of valuev would kill donald.

vitali cant expect to fight a lean back hands low style against a tall fighter with a very good jab like valuev

Valuev is slower, has less movement, and less skills. He can be hit flush, countered or out jabbed.

Vitlai would OWN him, then you'll revert to saying Valuev was a bum.

While Valuev is a little better now, its still not enough. He would be lucky to win 2 rounds vs Vitlai.

Understand Suzie Q, Vitlai has never been behind on ANY score card past round three. Vitlai is probably the most domiant score cards guys in the history of the heavyweight divsion. If you disagree, name the fighter!

The best pure boxers in the world, such as Byrd, Donald, or Lewis combined won 6 rounds total vs Vitlai, or if you perfer two rounds each on average.

Or, on fair score cards, Vitlai pitched shut outs vs K Johnson, Sam Peter, D and Williams.

No. Vitali is one of the few heavyweights in history who is active 3:00/round. He also is super accurate and devestating.

More importantly, he's probably won around 150 of the 156 rounds hes fought in....

Yep, it's all bull****. His comp level is pretty poor. Lewis took 3 rounds off him in my opinion, tearing his face up in the process. That was old, fat Lewis too - a few years earlier it'd have been an even bigger massacre. The fact that Mendoza is talking about 2 40+ year old fighters as potential opponents for VITLAY just about sums it all up, the division is a total disgrace right now.

Yeah I was pretty much shocked by that as you were.

I believe it was one of those fights where a judge "is looking for" rounds to give to the guy who is losing badly.

I am positive that neither guy would win a single round against Vitali. The only question is whether these fights would go the distance.

Oddly, even though I think Toney is less likely than Valuev to win a round against Vitali, I think he is more likely than Valuev to last the distance. This is because of Toney's extraordinary defensive acumen and staying power.

I could see Toney win one real early with some good counter punching but not much for Valuev

James may get beat down, but he'll never back down. Smack talk with him's no act.

He may do it Marquis of Queensbury in the ring, but if he even suspects he's being dissed in the street, he goes right for the jugular, goliath or nerd.
