Benn snearing at Eubank, Clint Eastwood holding a small Indonesian gerbil, Larry Holmes in a WAR hat punching Ray Mercer's WAR hat off, Gina Gershon in a red camiknicker, Joe Louis in a WAR hat with his face morphed into SNV's face, Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, Don King sitting on a pineapple, etc. That's the magic of it. This his how I see it. So who could Young beat?


If Foreman post Ali was champion and in the ring, I believe Young could be champion, since he defeated Foreman.


If Lyle, who was up on points vs. Ali in round 11 ( until Ali landed a big right hand ) managed to win on points, I think Young who had beaten Lyle could do it again.

If Shavers who gave Ali a very tough fight got ( Would like to score this one again one day ) got the points decision, Young would have a chance to beat him as well.

 

I've always felt that Jimmy deserved an instant rematch with Ken in 1978. This time with the WBC title at stake. If Jimmy had kept his motivation,he'd have picked Ossie Ocasio apart. A rematch for the title would have inspired him,imo. It would have been just as close as the eliminator,I think.

 

Pat Cuillo weighed 190.
Young weighed 228 (soft as usual).
Cuillo was faster and worked behind a solid left jab, using Young as a heavy bag.
Result --- 10 round Unanimous decision.
