Would Joe Louis and Marciano have taken Foreman`s power a well as Peralta did?

    Frazier`s head movement and hooks would have destroyed the clumsy Baer, Foreman knew how to beat short armed pressure figters Baer didn`t have a clue.

    Louis land better more damaging counters than Lyle, he was always in positiion to land a punch because of his superior footwork and blalance, Lyle was just a slugger with power, not as dangerous.

    I'm with you, Mark. This year sucked the big one.

    Joe Louis was an incredibly potent combination puncher. George would get up after getting knocked down, but Joe hit very hard and as mentioned before had far more finesse than Lyle ever dreamed of having. Joe could also be a seriously ugly, vicious finisher. Lyle came across as pretty clumsy overall, though he had a no-joke punch for sure.

    I like to think both Foreman and Louis would go down at least once...but Joe just wasn't like that. If he went down, it would be a flash type of thing. And then he'd rain unholy hellfire on George until it was finished.

    Though George is second only to Larry as my favorite fighter, I think both would lose to Joe. Joe only loses to FOTC Frazier or 60s Ali.

    Joe to me is one of the top 10 ATGs pound for pound, him, Ali, Armstrong, Robinson, Duran....on that level. Yeah.

    In my opinion.
