Does the quiet man ever become a world champion without Don King?

    No.

Who is he signed with---main events? That'd be Lennox. He might have to go through a guy like Tua to get a shot & probably a few more like Golata even.

Maybe Cedric Kushner could get him in the IBF title contenders. But he'd have to wade through deeper waters.

But remember Ruiz was way down in the scheme of things and somehow got the Holyfield fight. Prior to that he was way on the outside of things with the quickie loss to tua when he tried stepping up & never a fan friendly style. A tough tough sell for a promoter and Don King did wonders with the guy. Really an incredible job.

The Quiet man is top 5 worst HW champions ever.

He ain't champion in any other era, and that includes the shambolic eras like between Tunney and Louis then Marciano's era.

Ruiz won the WBA heavyweight title.
Therefore he's HW champion. And he won it off an ATG. I might find him boring and **** but he was definitely Heavyweight champion.

So what else should we expect?
Houdini says silly things that are factually incorrect and then gets his ass handed to him by a "child". Again.

Also you know how you consistently call Seamus a liar? Didn't you lie in the
    Norton-Tucker tread? Yes.

I'll try not to in future.
Do you have any opinion on the thread matter?
There aren't many fighters I actively dislike for what they do in the ring, but Ruiz is one.

Don King did wonders for him, and despite his skandles, he was a very good promoter

You have no knowledge of the sport so you have no hope to “best” anyone.

    That's the lineal champions list.

Ruiz was a WBA champion of the world, which had been a major title since the 60s. He was a legitimate HW champ. It's been spelt out, he was a HW champion, as were all the guys you mentioned.
But keep it up! Keep denying the truth, it's a nice little skill of yours.

    Also it's Rahman, no "c".

I don’t consider him a world champion either....but rather a belt holder. No, I doubt he gets a shot or a belt apart from the path he walked.

Wining a paper title does not make one WORLDS hwt champion. There is only one WORLDS hwt champion at any given time. Ruiz was not one of them. Ever. Study up fan boy.
