After koing the unbeaten Norton in 1970, what if a match between Garcia and Liston came about ?
Could Sonny have had enough left in the tank to beat him ,or could Garcia take him apart as he did Kenny ?

It was reported on July 3rd that Los Angeles matchmaker Don Chargin wired an offer to Liston immediately after the July 2nd Jose Luis Garcia - Ken Norton bout attempting to make a Liston-Garcia match for August at the Olympic. I'd put a fiver on Sonny.

Liston by close decision. Even though Garcia wasn't the fighter that Sonny was, Jose would realize the moment and make it a fight.

Liston was far better than Garcia, even at that stage. Liston KO before 5.
