AJ would batter him. Gorman's hand speed was troubling Wardley for the first couple rounds. With better fitness, it would have been an interesting fight.
I think folk here are over rating joshua and under rating wardley thats the feeling i get remember one is on the slide the other coming up and wardley seems to have a fighting spirit the lad might be a bit posh sounding but dont let that fool you joshua lost to ruiz remember just because he is a wee american and mexican fella does net men he is that good he is not bad ruiz but hes not that good is he i thought he lost to ortiz who is over 50 years of age put down by forget the fellas name he forgot big vitali klitschko and got pummeled donkeys years ago and he still put him down im talking about 15 year ago he got battered by the big fella let me tell you lot dont over look wardley i like the fella
I think Joshua would stop Wardley in 6 to 8 rounds. Joshua of 6 years ago stops him inside 4 and breaks his face in the process.
I don't rate Wardley much, he won a British title against a really poor Nathan Gorman who for me seems to have given up on himself in terms of any serious ambitions in the sport. Wardley was a white collar boxer who started boxing while at University and has no pedigree or amateur experience, he is never going to compete at anything other than British or fringe Euro level. He got a break because he's Dillian Whyte's mate and ended up being signed by him so was used on all of Whyte's undercards. He's very open, a slow starter and doesn't like being put under pressure. The reason he's winning is because he is athletic, has a bit of power and is fighting boxers who don't want to know as soon he lands a meaningful punch. I'd like to see him fight David Adeleye, a young hungry fighter with real physical strength and power, let's see how he gets on. Would be a exciting domestic fight.
If it ever happens Jim i would willingly bet any amount of money on the outcome,it would be a formality for Joshua
David Adeleye, I remember watching him lose to Kamil only to be given a gift. Has he shown many signs of improvements since then or is he just a big muscular guy who will fall apart once he goes up to European level?
