He would've suffered more defeats than Wlad. I could always tell with AJ it was only a matter of time until somebody put his lights out. I could see right through the immovable indestructible force the media were hyping him up to be. That being said, he was criminally overrated and now, he is criminally underrated.

I urge everyone to wait and see how AJ deals with the rematch vs. Ruiz Jr.

There's a decent chance IMO (25%) that he beats Ruiz Jr. convincingly and comes out of this stronger and better as in a "lesson learned" moment.

Wlad fought better. He did not make his name on old men. Had you said this 6 months ago, it would be out there. Saying it now after watching fat boy Ruiz take Joshua apart, hurt him easily and seeing Joshua opting not to come back into the action....

The horrible reality is sinking in that so many of the guys Wlad beat are superior to Ruiz. That his era couldnt have been so weak compared to now. Ruiz is being called a guy with 'good amateur experience', with 'quick hands and feet' to explain what's happened. LOL!

Similar stature aggressive fighters like Povetkin, Chagaev weren't just good amateurs, they were STAR amateurs, with quicker feet and combination punching and more power. Haye also, small heavy with quicker feet and combos and power. Throw Sultan in there. All in far better shape than Ruiz too, including Chagaev! ALL SUPERIOR! AJ is in serious trouble with just this batch! Then the taller fighters with skills and heart like Pulev, Thompson. And these fighters like Peter, Chambers ...

Even Wlad's losses, how did he lose? Purrity and Brewster took his punches with outstanding chins, and got to him when he gassed out. If they can do that to Wlad, guarantee they weather AJ and take him out. Sanders has quick hands, power and better chin than AJ, he has a good chance of sniping AJ too, though it's more of a shootout.

Joshua always has the chances of a puncher. But I'd say he takes at least double the losses Wlad took. But possibly more when you start adding them up. Christ, so many have a chance with Superior!

He'd probably win the majority of them, but I can see him taking his eye off the ball one night and getting beaten by a guy he's heavily favoured over. I can see fighters like Chagaev and Ibragimov causing him issues, and prime Peter might be a bit of a stylistic nightmare for him if he can't hurt him or keep him off. Povetkin is a weird one, since the Povetkin that Wlad fought was the kinda average one that wasn't one shotting guys left right and centre. I'd give that one to Joshua, though it'd be a dangerous fight.

I voted no. The assumptions I am working with are that we are discussing Wlad's most notable reign and not the run with the WBO before. So that takes out Sanders, Brewster, and Peter 1 from the list as these were not part of that reign.
Byrd 2 Joshua should win by KO similar to how Wlad did, Byrd was slowing down a bit at this point amd lesser fighters than Joshua were arguably beating Byrd before Wlad got him.
Brock, Ray Austin, and half blind Brewster 2 all get ko'd.
Ibragimov is arguably the first stumbling block but I envision a clinch filled stinker similar to Parker v Joshua, with Joshua winning.
Thompson 1 is a live dog but I see him getting stopped, and Rahman gets clobbered.
I'd slightly favor a young Chagaev over Joshua but the reverse wouldn't be shocking.
Chambers and Peter 2 aren't problematic.
Haye has a good chance to stop Joshua but I wouldn't make him a favorite.
The rest are wins all the way to Povetkin. A fresh Povetkin against an at this point aging Joshua I see going to Joshua.
Leipeia gets crushed, Pulev causes trouble with his jab, but gets blasted out at some point.
Jennings isn't getting a top level win and Fury boxes circles around an old Joshua.

But Valuev had a much better chin. I can see Haye leaping in with a wild shot and it's spaghetti legs for AJ the rest of the night.

Most of the guys Wlad defended against were either on par with Ruiz Jr or higher rated, there is your problem for Joshua and his flaky whiskers.

Prime Lamon Brewster would KO Joshua.
Peter from the 1st Wlad fight would KO him.
Saunders would have a good chance in the first 3 rounds.
    Thomson could outbox him.
    Ibragimov is a 50/50 fight.
Chagaev is also a 50/50 fight.
Old Mercer is a close fight.
    Haye by KO.

This. Not only Valuev had a granite chin and never got cut, he also had very good stamina and knew his limitation really well.

I think he could have had big problems with Povetkin in his prime.

This. Prime Haye's movement and explosiveness would be a mare for Joshua. Wlad had one of the best jabs in HW history and used that to keep Haye at bay comfortably. Joshua has a pretty poor jab tbh for someone with his reach.

Sanders had more power and had faster hands, was bigger and stronger , povetkin that fought wlad would also beat Ruiz.

To say answer yes to this poll you are basically saying that Ruiz would have been tougher opposition than everyone Wlad fought..
