So how were there so many "variables" (your words) in the Hatton-PM fight that you couldn't make a concrete pick? Sounds like an easy fight to call from what you're saying?

I did make a pick didn't I? Concrete or not, I picked Hatton and by decision, which it should have been. Can't legislate for bull**** stoppages.

The variables were on Hatton's side and you know full well. Stamina, trainer, weight issues.

Malignaggi's defence was not a variable, its always been shite.

Some struggle, he dropped 1 round on the way to a TKO.

Blah blah, I got the right man as usual.

Point is, Malignaggi ain't dodging any good fighters punches. There is no evidence he is capable of doing that, against even lesser fighters than Witter.

To be fair, bar a couple of idiots, everyone here got the right man. It wasn't a hard call. I'd take Witter over Paulie but I think he'd have a lot more trouble with him than Hatton did.

That's styles. Witter isn't effective at putting on pressure.

Still, I don't see him having a problem landing clean power punches, I don't think any half decent fighter does. Ngoudjo was close to KOing him and N'dou did good last time for such a limited guy. Malignaggi does not keep his hands up, and he's not quite as slick and elusive as he seems to believe in his own head. His reactions are slow.

I was watching the HBO coverage and there was a jab from Hatton showed on replay, it was as straight as anything and Malignaggi did not even acknowledge a punch was coming nevermind dodge it.

Fat Joe you let yourself down man. Your hard built reputation as a good fight picker down the toilet as quick as McGirt could wave that towell.

I've seen hardly anything of Malignaggi, I watched that SKY docu the other day, it was well edited, Paulie rocking Cotto, Paulie dropping N'Dou etc. After watching that I made my pick:patsch

 Sorry Joe, but I just couldn't see Hatton losing. Paulie never had the movement or the power to keep Hatton off him, and there was nothing in his record to suggest otherwise. Sorry mate, but the post Lascano reports of Hattons demise have been greatly exageratted.:D

As for the numpties that predicted a Paulie KO.....:patsch;)

I hope Torres knocks out glass jawed Holt this time.

Hatton/Torres would entertaining as hell. It will never happen with these fights on the horizon, but I could imagine that being great while it lasted.

Highly unlikely. Witter doesnt have trouble dealing with fighters with no power. The odds would be Witter would walk him down and stop him sooner and more convincgly than Hatton purely because he is a better puncher than Hatton.

As a fan I'd like Hatton to take on Torres, Bradley, JMM and then retire with a good, solid record that boxing fans will appraiciate (sp) but realistically if Oscar calls then I don't blame Hatton for taking the money.
