Great fight if it did happen. But Ricky doesnt make risky fights with minimal reward.

I disagree, Witter can't pressure Paulie any way near the amount that Hatton did. Witter could well end up pot shotting and losing a decision. I'd take Witter but not by much.

they would both beat him. malignaggi has no power and cant throw the right hand.

Cotto didnt beat Paulie by pressuring him. He simply beat him up because his fire power was more superior. Paulie has brittle hands. Throughout his entire career his never been able to punch worth a lick. Defensively his poor. And although he has a ton of heart grit and determination thats useless in the ring against a proven banger like Witter. Witter inside of 10.

I know how Cotto beat Paulie, I saw the fight. Thats why I thought Hatton would do a better job on Malinaggi than Cotto did. More sustained pressure, Witter doesn't really have that option though, and he's not as technically sound as Cotto.

    Proven banger? :rofl

Only ever knocked out one guy of note. Got taken the distance against anybody above D class.

This he isnt. But he punches harder at the weight and certainly has the power to KO him well inside 12 rounds. Paulie just doesnt have the punch nor style to get anyones respect. How he won his bout with Ndou for the vacant IBF is beyond me.

I said all along that Paulie brought nothing to the table that could beat Hatton, and so it proved.

Everything comes off the jab, but when he was getting outjabbed it was painfully one sided.
