    All depends which Lewis, DP.

Lewis of Rahman 1, McCall loses. I would fancy Kenny against the Lewis of Tucker, Bruno, Jackson, Mercer, McCall 2 (251lbs - too big) too.

The Lewis of Ruddock, Grant, Botha, Golota, Briggs, Rahman 2 however wins with style. But, to win, I think Lewis has to basically stomp on Kenny and be brutal - which he was more than capable of doing, of course.

It is basically down to Lennox if he chooses to win or not but he certainly put in plenty of performances that Kenny could have been very competitive in.

If he fought the same line up as Bowe and Foreman, he might do pretty well.

If he fought the same line up as Seldon, he might not do much better than him.

I just think Lewis hits a bit too hard for Norton mate, Holmes and Ali are fair punches, but don't carry Lewis's lethal right hand power, I also think Lewis's uppercut would be a factor vs Norton's cross arm defence aswell.

Your right Lewis did have a few lazy performances as you stated above. But normally when Lewis had a point to prove, against opposition he deemed as a threat. And I believe he would certainly think Norton was a threat, he'd go out there looking to put on a good performance.

Norton V Holyfield (1990) - close fight, could be either man.
Norton V Tyson (1990) - Tyson out fast. Ken never has a chance ko 1.
Norton V Bowe (1992) - Good fight but Riddick wears him down. Ko 10.
Norton V Lewis (1993) - if its not Lennox early then I can see a possible upset win for Ken.
Norton V Foreman (1994) - perhaps a similar fight as Moorer, Norton in the lead till George gets that right hand landing.
Norton V Mccall (1994) - Kenny by decision.
Norton V Seldon (1995) Norton beats the poo out of him.
That's the ones I've thought about for now and sounds right in my noggin.

Absolutely. The best Lewis convincingly beats the best Norton but it has to be the best Lewis. And the best Norton turned up more often than the best Lewis, if that makes sense.

You may be right, Fergy, but not if it's February 1990. The Tyson of Tillman and Stewart would have been a hard match up for Ken, though.

I was thinking of after Tokyo to be honest, Edd.
Now if Ken had being in the corner instead of Buster, then we have to take Tysons frame of mind in to consideration.
Can Ken Norton actually take advantage of a Tyson showing no interest or motivation?
He did upset Ali but Tyson?...

And here's the rock, paper, scissors conundrum.

Douglas looks ace against Tyson but I think Norton gives him hell.

Norton is a far harder opponent for Buster than Tyson who may nevertheless still have gone through Kenny in quick time.***

And yet, despite doing far better than Douglas does against Ken, (that version of) Mike gets comprehensively whooped by (that version of) Buster.

*** This is possible but Ken sparred with Frazier. I think he is good enough to stave off this version of Mike, personally.

Yeah that's true someone mentioned earlier, that Douglas would beat Norton. But like you just stated about Lewis, I also said the samething to that poster about Douglas.

Douglas only looked good in 2 fights vs Williams, Tyson. And with Douglas's mum dying that helped fuel his motivation against Tyson.

Your talking about 2 fight window, with one of them fights not even being in the 90s. And a tragedy in his life that like i stated earlier helped motivate him.

Would Douglas for one night with an extraordinary set of circumstances, possibly beat Norton in 1 fight ? Maybe ? But were talking throughout the whole of the 90s era and you have to take into account. A fighters consistency and Douglas had none.

I'd be shouting at ring side, Tokyo, Get in there Ken!!
It would be imo, a fight going in like Bruno V Tyson 1.
Knowing that Tyson was a beast, but hoping like mad, that the under dog can slay him.

Holy would have had trouble imo, but probably taken at least a SD. Norton was just tricky and hard-punching enough to stay the whole fight and might even rock Holy some.

I don't think Tokyo Douglas could beat the Norton who beat Ali, and the post-Tokyo gets snuffed in 7. Yes, people, as much as I admire Iron Mike, I don't think he was fighting anywhere near the level of Ali I level Norton in the Douglas fight. No way.

Kenny stops Moorer in 4, decisions McCall. Knocks the crap out of Seldon. Bruno would be verrrrry interesting (Ken might lose).

Bowe and Lewis run him through. Big George would still win, but it would go into the middle rounds.
