I saw Dawson's recent fight against Tarver and also his previous fight with old man Johnson. I like fast flashy fighters so I rate Dawson, but there is something about him that makes me think he is a bit fragile. Kessler made Calzaghe change his gameplan after he tasted a few of those big uppercuts, also he is a very big SMW with decent speed himself. So would Kessler catch Dawson with a big shot and then finish him off? Or would the lightning fast Dawson have too much skill and speed for the Dane?
All the recent Dawson hype is a bit of a joke but, he is a good fighter, and this would be a great fight, and yeah, and I would go with Kessler.
Most definetely,Kessler is the perfect man to KO Dawson by styles. His accuracy and powwer would brake that glass. The perfect man to do it.More than 50% chance to KO Dawson
could be. but kessler is a smw. he shouldn't do that weight class jumping although it's in fashion right now. one fight at 160, then one 166, then one at 160 again and then one at 170 - that can't be good for your performance and the recent events showed that. stick to your weight class, if you can't make weight, then move up one div. and stay there!
Great fight and neither fighter should be considered the big underdog here. If Dawson fights the perfect gameplan, he has a good chance of winning a decision. If he makes the slightest mistake, Kessler has him out for the count. Kessler could force him to make a mistake too. I would favour Kessler slightly, but I'm not slighting Dawson's chances either.
Dawson = Lacy 2 with a little bit more skill and speed and less chin. Kessler would KTFO Dawson easy.
Joe just prove that Kessler is limited when facing someone with movement. He just like Pavlic needs someone to stand in front of him in order to be effective.
Kessler is a lot better than Adamek, faster, harder, more accurate, better defence. I go with Kessler, late stoppage.
Would be a close fight....Adamek floored Dawson heavily and I'd say Kessler is a better finisher than Adamek....on that small reason alone I'd say kessler by late stoppage. Dawson is a very good fighter though IMO. There's no reason why he couldn't win. However, I would prefer to see Kessler fight the winner of the inevitable Bute-Andrade rematch and the winner of Froch-Pascal first. Even though I'm British, I'm not quite sold on Froch yet. I'm like for him to prove me wrong but I don't see him standing five rounds with Kessler, regardless of his supposed 'sturdy chin'.
