Chad Dawson fights nothing like Lacy. They have completely different styles and skillsets. Every young, Black American fighter is not a Jeff Lacy clone. Anyway, I think Kessler is too basic to knockout Dawson.

Truly the quote of a ******.

Saying Dawson is comparable to Lacy is like saying Tyson is comparable to Ali.

    They fight nothing alike.

i think that americans in general vastly under rate kessler they see him as an euro bum, if they fought i could def see a late tko for kessler, he has an iron chin so dawson isnt knocking him out, we saw in the glen johnson match that dawson doesnt really have a plan b to switch up his style, so after catching a few hard shots from kessler i see him slowing down heavily by the 9th round, this is where i could see kessler piling on the pressure for a tko.

when kessler fought calzaghe i was very impressd he was putting his shots together and really troubling joe, and if the injury troubles he had with his hands were true then i think he will def go on to be a p4p champion.

I can see Kessler nailing hard and sharp and bombing Dawson and making him want to box him off him. Problem is that Mikkel may be a too tough challenge for Chad at this point, and that's exactly why Calzaghe already went beyond that point that is not within Dawson's reach at the moment... Beating Johnson and Tarver is what makes Dawson the great thing for the future but it does not exactly make him the man to beat. It gat to be Calzaghe or Hopkins for Dawson or it won't simply do.

However, the ferocious uppercut that Kessler landed on Calzaghe in the fourth round would've knocked Dawson clean out....and Dawson has shown he's not completely untouchable. Kessler wasn't completely outclassed, and Calzaghe has shown he is one of the best at formulating tactical changes in fights. I'm not sure Dawson has proven that yet.

However, Kessler vs. Taylor at SMW would be a great fight! I'm sure we'll see whether Taylor has returned to his former standards, as if he can knock out the, nothing if not durable, Jeff Lacy he will show he's on the way back. He didn't look terrible in the 2nd Pavlik fight but looked like he was just trying to survive. That wouldn't bode well in a fight against Kessler.

If he can get some killer instinct and reclaim his love for boxing, he could make a fight with Kessler very competitive.

However....Kessler by K.O in the championship rounds.

How that is not transparent I dont know. Even if you look at his last two fights. The guy had to be right dead in front with 0 head movement for him to get off any punches. Dawson has faster hands and can HURT Kessler with his body work that would take away most of his power early. Dawson, beats Kessler pillar to post mainly to the open body of Kessler. Dawson is fighting at 175 and has took some huge shots by bigger harder hitting fighters than Kessler. Kessler would get his ass beat at 175.

You got to love guys overhyping a guy that pretty much beat nobody and are talking about a guy who fought world class fighters that actually had accomplishments... Hilarious.

    Yes I believe he would.

Kessler is an excellent boxer and I believe he will go on to rule 168 and then 175 in the next 2 or 3 years.
