Also, Chad showed what he would do to the good old euro 1,2 combination with the Adamek fight. Who is actually a better fighter than Kessler in skill and accomplishments.

It means what the **** it says. Kessler has a pathetic resume. He has not beat anybody. Any ****ing body. His claim to fame is losing to Calzaghe. He is a 1,2 fighter who has robotic movement and throws the same combo over and over again. He cannot beat Dawson. Dawson would out work him, and just beat him around the ring. He just knocked out some bum that looked like he was there to be kod who just stood right dead in front of him. And he is supposed to beat Dawson based on that ****???? After Dawson just mopped the floor with a motivated Tarver. Who by the way is bigger stronger and hits harder that Kessler.

I'd say a clone of the Bute Andrade fight, so it all depends if dawson beats the count:think

He was competitve throughout this fight and Calzaghe is one of the top P4P for sure.

Dawson looked a bit fragile against Johnson and he also has a habit of not throwing anything for a minute or two, I'm not convinced he hits that hard either, no way is this fight as clear cut as you make out.

    Tarver hits harder than Kessler?
I watched that fight and I was really disappointed with Tarver, looked like he had nothing on his punches and he seemed like he had nothing left after the first half of the fight.

Kessler has beaten Andrade (no easy task), Mundine and Beyer.

I think this is similar to beating a seemingly shot Tarver, Ademek and Johnson (although this fight could have gone either way for me).

I think this would be a close fight but i'd lean towards Kessler.

Kessler would knock Dawson out I think. Although I do not see him winning a desicion.

Kessler TKO10 down on the cards.

I can't believe how much people are overrating Kessler. This is crazy. That guy is not going to go up to 175 and beat Dawson let alone knock him out. Anyone who thinks Kessler would knock out Dawson is crazy. I keep hearing Kessler was competitive against Calzaghe. No he was not. He did ok for the first 3 or 4 rounds, was dominated between rounds 5 and 11, and did ok in the 12th. If we've learned anything lately, it's that basic 1-2 punchers will struggle against guys with speed and movement.

I have no idea who would win, but the thread is just irrelevant.

Kessler and his team have clearly said that they are not going anywhere as long as there are things to prove at 168. Currently Kessler's optimum weight is somewhere between 164 and 168 and he has said he would be hapopy to fight Pavlik at catchweight 164 or even at 160 (this was said before the Hopkins fight).

If Kessler had already proven himself now at 168 then the most likely move is down to MW. Kessler is a medium sized SMW and would be noticably smaller than for example both men in the fight between Bute-Andrade (both 6'2" or above, while Kessler is only 6'1"). Taylor and Pavlik are also taller/have longer reach than Kessler.

Kessler's aim is to do like Hopkins (and Calzaghe and many others): To clean out his division beyond any doubt. Right now there are plenty of challenges at SMW. Think about Bute who despite losing to Andrade did dominate most of the fight. Winner of Taylor-Lacy, Ward, Direll, Inkin, Froch and so on. Very packed division and many exciting fights. Maybe Kessler cannot become undisputed, but in that case there is no sense in moving up at all, so the aim is the same as Hopkins etc.

Therefore 6'3" Dawson is not relevant and by the time Kessler could hope to become undisputed at SMW, Skinny Dawson will probably have grown to CW even.

Kessler has had 42 fights and will be over 30 by the next time he fights - it's not like he's just starting out.

As far as the fight would go I think Dawson is too slick, and fast - Kessler to come forward, and Robotic (that's not to say he's not good) - but I think Dawson has the style - in speed, and movement to beat him.
