think of the upcoming eliminator fights:

peterson v cayo, prescott v mccloskey and maidana v guerrero.

if he can beat them three winners at 140 he really establishes a decent legacy at the weight, giving time for the floyd/pac situation to resolve itself.

    what do you guys think?

say he fights morales next in a unification, defends his unified title thrice against these mandatories and then he steps up to WW when it's hopefully a hot division again.

if he can make the weight i think this is the path he should take.

I think so too, he should create a good legacy at 140 and try to become undisputed.
but they are saying he is struggling a little bit to make weight therefore he only will fight one more time, he wants to be a welter at 25, i get that as well, plus the money is at welter, I think khan wants to get to floyd before pacquiao does as well.

yeah if he can unify the belts and make those 3 defences, his LWW resume will be pretty damn special and could arguably surpass hatton's.

it requires 4 fights in about 12 months for it to ba doable, but with rmadan coming up and his weight issues i could be fighting a losing battle here!

Yeah I think so too, I guess khan will fight only 2 times next year around april/may because of ramadan being in july next year he probably wont have the summer fight then fight again in october/november.
basically he will probably try something like brook/mayweather, unless ortiz wins then i wouldnt be surprised if he fought him next at his first fight at welter.

i think it's almost certain that morales or the winner of guerrero/maidana is next. and unless bradley has a u-turn i think that's his final fight at the weight.

147 will first be jones or brook IMO, then maybe senchenko or zavek (they hold his belts so he should get a shot) with a big money spinning fight for the end of the year of start of the year after.

I think the Morales fight is basically a lock if he gets past Barrios. I also see this being Khans last fight before moving up. I think the Bradley fight will happen down the line at 147 along with Brook and Ortiz

But yeah he should definitely be chasing the "Undisputed" at 140 before making the move up it will boost his legacy significantly

    - He should face Bradley and probably should battle Peterson, Maidana again

    - But as a fan of his, after looking at the size of him against Judah, is it a wise move to stay at 140 - he looked huge against Judah?!!!!!?

I would prefer him to stay at 140 too. But according to Roach, he's beginning to struggle to make weight now. Staying at the weight for another 12 months, will be too difficult.

According to Khan, he can still make 135. Anyway, I see no point in Khan staying at 140 lbs. for more than another fight or two. People keep talking about legacy, but he can build himself a nice legacy by moving up in weight and fighting big named fighters in big fights.

depends on how easy it is for him to make weight. if he can make 140 easily he should stay.

Never understood this 147 obsession. Who other than mayweather is actually there to fight at 147 anyway? Ortiz will be back at square 1 after floyd smashes him so who really is there of any interest? Kell brook has done nothing so that's not even realistic yet
