    He wasn't with Sports Network?

Plenty of reasons are given for hating Amir, such as......

He is Asian (or of Asian origin) - sad but true
    His fans always cause trouble
    His annoying family/entourage
Because he has ignored all major domestic/Euro titles (and therefore the fighters)
He has always fought smaller, mainly feather fisted guys
    Perceived arrogance

I think one of the main reasons why he is disliked by many is his affiliation with Frank Warren.

    Thoughts.......

See, none of those things, except the avoiding the titles, bothers me really.

If we are going to stop liking fighters because they are arrogant, then there are going to be no fighters left to like!

My one and only problem with Khan, isn't actually with Khan, it's with how his career has been managed, and how the media have reported that career.

I'm always on the brink of becoming a fan of the guy, then some decision is made, or some story reported, and I just think "Nah".

For me the main two reasons why I dislike him is because of him avoiding British and Euro titles, and the arrogance of his entourage - why does a novice pro (as he was at the time) need a commercial manager?

I must admit I would dislike him less if he wasn't with Warren..... the way they both talk about world titles as if they are part of an inevitable crusade to greatness irks me also.

TBH I don't really care about him. I hope he does his best and maybe grabs a belt because it's good for British boxing, the exposure etc. But if he fails I'm not bothered either way.

Well it doesnt help I guess...
But could you imagine if he was under Hennessey he would be calling everyone under the sun as is the trend with Hennessey fighters

But Hennesey fighters generally go after the real fights. I always remember Eastman calling out Hopkins and thinking ermmm.... no. But he called out the man, and got the fight. The fact he lost is more or less irrelevant. Same as it will be with Haye/Klitschko and Froch/Taylor. Win or lose they'll have the respect of people who know what it's all about.

Thing is, with Khan moving up to fight Kotelnik he's shown he has no dignity and Warren has no faith in his ability. Otherwise he'd be after a title with a real champion at LW.

Most of the accusations that get levelled at Khan could be said about other, more popular fighters. I hate to say it, but most of the unpopularity (particularly amongst nion-boxing fans) is his religion. The rest are excuses.

beeston, why did you have to bring race into it?its got **** all to do with that...the other reasons you have given are enough to dislike the laddie without you having to use the race of the fighter?

it really pisses me off...and it only ever seems to brought when discussing Khan ..no one ever says "ppl dont like audley harrison cos he is black"

Because there's ample evidence that there is a minority for whom that is a factor?

It might **** you off, but ignoring it is hardly the answer.

Because nowadays racism has largely evolved into anti-Islam.

For me I would say the way he has avoided domestic scene has got to be the biggest thing. I find it disrespectful to the whole boxing scene
And what annoys me more is that the general public (who most o his fan base are) lap it all
up and don't care what featherweight he's beating up or what legitmate lightweight contender he's dodging

i think this is true, when he lost it was like a victory against warren too.same with anny FW fighter really.
another reason is the smaller fighter thing,he fought 1 guy he didnt look massive against & we saw what the **** happened.
also the fact he gets a ton of exposure right out the gate while other fighters who are just as deserving dont
