Would Klitschko have just been another second tier HW if he he came along in the era of the 4 Kings?

Im just telling you that this is a false statment

He neither ran nor turned him down. Because to turn someone down means there had to be an offer there in the first place. There wasn't.

You're are also misremembering what Finkel said and meant when Wilder had just won the title.

Povektin was already mandatory challenger to whoever won the belt so Wilder had to fight him in his first defence. Thats why Finkel said they won't be rushed into a Klitschko fight

When Stiverne held the WBC , Wlad showed plenty interest in making the fight. When Wilder had the belt Wlad showed zero interest. Absolutely none.

I can't keep scrolling past this nonsense of 4 kings lol.

Fury beat Wlad fair and square but then went into a meltdown and the 4 fighters faced off in a series of fights to crown 1 king, Usyk.

Wlad beats all 4. He faced Fury at 39 and Joshua at 41 after going through an insanely long run at the top. People have no clue how difficult it is, to consistently beat top level talent at heavyweight. How many heavies rack up 60 plus wins in the division these days facing exclusively the best for the majority of their career. Pretty much zero. Even guys like Foreman and Holmes that have a comparative number of total wins, built a large, large portion of those wins against journeyman level competition.

I think he would trade wins and losses, certainly wouldn't dominate. But then I don't rate Wlad as highly as some. He fought - and dominated - in an extremely weak era.

Wlad is becoming underrated this is nonesense. If you wanna be heavily critical of Wlad losing at the age of 40 we can do it for every great in history.

4 kings my ass. Wilder and aj would just be more stiff mediocres that Wlad would have dominated in his prime. Furys very legacy hinges on an old Wlad and he ducked the rematch lol

Wlad beats Wilder, AJ and Fury, but loses to Usyk.

Wlad beats AJ. That much is obvious given their actual fight when a prime AJ went life and death with a shot Wlad.

Wlad PROBABLY beats Wilder but if that right detonates on that chin…..

I don’t think any version of Wlad beats Fury tbh.

Usyk…… hmmmm. I’d have to think about that. On the surface, I’d think Wlad would be able to use his grabbing tactics to neutralize Usyk….. but I also thought Fury would’ve been able to do the same.

If a prime Wlad was around today he'd make the entire division his whipping boy.

People don't seem to realise how much speed he lost towards the end of his career.

Very assumptive of you to profess that it's obvious Wlad would beat the same guy who scored knockout of the decade over him.
"Prime" Wlad was timid Wlad. That style would not work against AJ, who would smell the weakness and go in for the kill early and often

May be because "prime" Wlad never showcased any of his abilities aside from Jab and clinch

To be honest and play a bit of Devil's advocate Wlad's chin does leave a bit question mark. What if someone can tag him good.

Funny enough the fight he showed best grit and chin to recover was the AJ fight at 41. He fought with a drive and instinct of knowing this was his last chance. I feel like with Wlad a lot of it is mental.

With Vitali there isn't the same problem but he was injury prone and focused on politics so not sure how far his commitment to boxing would span today.

His speed and footwork in the Haye fight was amazing.
