Would Lara pose more of a threat to GGG then anybody else he fought?

That wasn't the question. Take your GGG GoGGles off and try again.

I don't think Lara is the stylistic nightmare that some do.

A completely shot Angulo (with no footwork) managed to put hands on him. The likes of Vanes and Molina managed to give him that work. For a defensive fighter, he's surprisingly easy to touch, especially to the body.

I don't think Lara poses any threat to Golovkin.

Then he has fought? Yes. Are there better fights for him at 160? Sure, but if they are not ready then Lara is the most viable opponent he could face next. Make it happen:deal

I don't think Lara poses much of an actual threat to GGG, but he'd be the best fighter on Golovkin's resume by a fair bit, imo.

A guy who was hesitant to throw punches with Delvin f*cking Rodriguez?:rofl
Lara is a name people have heard of before and most of those people are dumb so they think it's a good fight.
When Lara doesn't do any better than Willie Monroe Jr and gets KO'd, those same people will be crying about GGG "picking on little fighters" again.

How many rounds do you guys think GGG would lose to Vanes?

Lara had to get his referee to cheat for him............Lara told the referee to take away a point for nothing, cost him the fight, not to mention Lara was wearing his trunks way too high..................Lara's fans who say he would easily knock Golovkin out are purely delusional...........check out the replay..................Golovkin by knockout, no doubt about it!!! I would love to see Golovkin knock out Lara, but why bother will a runner who is booed by the crowd for not fighting. I would much rather see Golovkin fight Alvarez, Jacobs, Saunders, Quillian, etc.

Speaking of Vanes, I found it humorous that practically none of the people beating the drum for GGG to fight Lara bothered posting about that fight...at all. Nothing in the RBR. No ****ysis.

Let's face it- Lara is just the latest boogeyman (it was Kid Chocolate and Ward before him) that people are running to because they don't like GGG. They have minimal to no interest in Lara for his own career, and I'm certain 95% of them never even saw the Rodriguez fight, nor the Molina one.

If/when he KO's Lara, he'll be another bum, and it'll be on to the next guy he's been ducking all along. If he doesn't fight Lara, they'll pretend it was a duck. And the people who don't like GGG will continue to start more threads on him than his fans.

Make no mistake about it. The majority of the noise makers are only Ward/Lara "fans" because they don't like GGG
There are people out there who genuinely like watching those guys fight and follow their career, etc. Fair enough
The ones who only pretend to like Ward/Lara because they don't like GGG are to be laughed at and ridiculed.

    Precisely. :good

I've got nothing whatsoever against the guys who are actually fans of Lara, Ward (or any fighter for that matter). Some of them I know for a fact were fans before any talk of GGG. Those fans, I respect. They're supporting their fighters, and the sport needs that. Wanna talk some trash? Have at it- it's all in good fun.

It's the screw***** that just hopped on because that's the boogeyman they're backing (before the goalposts inevitably get moved again) that are worthless. Heck, if they just said they didn't like GGG and it wouldn't matter who he defeated, one could at least respect the honesty. But acting like they actually give a damn about fighters they couldn't care less about, just because it suits their agenda? Pretty weak.

Was he? There was a lil controversy over the weights in the Perro fight from what I recall...

Though this suggests that he would rather have been a bit higher than 164 - I think he comes to the ring normally around 168, should have no problem fighting at 160. He may be a little small at MW, but stylistically I don't see that bulking up a few extra lbs would be to his advantage.

  13. He poses the same amount of threat as he does the amount of times he's tried to get a fight with GGG. Zero

Lemieux, Murray, and Stevens were more dangerous. Stevens and Lemieux due to their power, but Lemieux is also a good fighter. Then you had Murray just on sheer size and durability.

Lara, on the other hand, brings nothing. He's at a size disadvantage, no power, and lesser boxing skills that are only adequate because he's in a terrible division.

Can everyone stop pretending Lara is some sort of freakishly talented, normal sized Rigo. Never has been, never will be.
