Yes, he would be the greatest of all times if he beat Wladimir. Lets face it beating Wladimir would be better then Ali beating Foreman.

For one Lewis is much further past prime. And two Wladimir is head and shoulders above where Foreman was at that point in his career. He was a very crude slugger at the time of the Ali fight.

My advice to Lewis would be to go for it. He would make tons of money and if he actully somehow pulled it off he would be the greatest ever. You only live once so why not?

What?He has the greatest heavyweight resume of all time. He's NEVER been knocked out, only stopped as a corpse when he couldn't defend himself against another ATG in Larry Holmes.Do you honestly believe the ATG heavy would have been knocked out by 2 B- heavies like Lennox Lewis was when he was so close to his prime?Even though Lewis was terrific,if anyone's been overhyped,it's Lewis by his hyperbolic countrymen.

It was an amazing acomplishment by Lewis in his last fight even though he did not truly beat Vitali. No other fighter has come close to doing what Lewis did to him.

Your definition of "beat" is different from mine. Yes Lewis was awarded the w.

This. He beat everyone he ever faced and every serious live and active challenger during his reign, except for Bowe who ducked him so publically that he is considered the poster boy for ducking. Lewis is a lock for top 5 ATG on resume and possibly No 1 H2H. Beating Wlad now would just prove that the Klits are nowhere near as 'dominant' as people think because he beat the better brother when he was in his prime when Lewis himself was past-it. Lewis losing now would be no big deal, he's nearly 50 and has been inactive for 8 years.

Regardless of all that, he would still be evens at worst to beat either Wlad or Vitali which speaks volumes about how bad the HW division is. The big question is whether Manny Steward would dump Wlad if Lewis unretired, and if so, how Wlad would deal with it. . .

For the record, I'd bet my house on Lewis beating either brother at this point if he could get himself in shape.

This puzzles me, Lewis already beat a much better version of Vitali, unless you think current Vitali is better than the guy that already had his face amputated in 2003? :huh
