Lennox had a lot of success using holding clinching and cuddling in his time but he was usually the bigger man, we saw Vs Vitali Klitschko he struggled to employ those tactics against bigger men or men the same size.

As much as I think Lewis was a far superior boxer to the crop of heavies of today, I think he would struggle more Vs some of today's fighters.

Lewis was an ATG. He'd be in the top 3 without doubt. Would have been nice to see him vs Fury and Usyk.

There's people who would argue he'd smash the division right open and they'd have a good argument for it.

Fury would wear him down and stop him. Wilder would have a great chance of KOing him. Usyk would outbox him.

Wilder gets murdered. Fury loses badly 9 of 10 times. Usyk Lewis swerves.

Obviously not. He had skills besides that, but obviously he can't just clinch and force a reset vs Fury, Zhang, Wilder, or any of the other super tall guys. They're too big/tall.

He was overweight and past his prime for that fight.

He never actually used the jab and grab against other tall fighters until Vitali and ditched the tactic after round 3 and took it to Vitali like he did for every other taller fighter he faced, like Akinwande, Biggs, and Grant.

1 in 100 times Wilder catches him, the other 99 Wilder doesn’t see the 4th round

I guess McCall and Rahman were 1 in 100 first time out. Quite the coincidence!

It's off the topic, but Klitschko was beating Lewis if the fight wasn't stopped :)

Joe Joyce would be a very interesting one too. Much better chin and gas tank, mentally unflappable, unorthodox, naturally bigger man, excellent jab, good power. The shorter Mercer and Bruno gave Lewis nightmares with their jabs and Lewis often struggled with durable opponents that he couldn't overpower. If Joyce goes on to exhibit a quality right hand then you'd have to favour him to KO Lewis.

6ft 7 inch 250lbs Michael Grant despite all his size and strength was rag dolled by Lewis. Knowing how to frame, post, collar tie, clinch, how to use their head, shoulders to control their opponent are skills it's not just about being bigger and stronger. A fighter who doesn't know these skills will get manhandled by smaller men that are physically weaker.

Lewis would for example boss both AJ and Joyce on the inside as neither have these skills. They maybe bigger but Lewis' skills inside would see him control his bigger opponent, just like he did with Grant. Fury's the only one that has similar inside skills where he knows how to control his opponent with the same techniques.
