I think Evander was a little warn from his wars with Bowe and Tyson before he fought Lewis. His three fight series against Bowe is classic, and I'd bet on Evander winning two of three against Lewis had they fought at that time. By knockout is probably a stretch, but I think he takes Lewis to the 12 round distance and wins a UD. I know I'm in the minority with this one, but I believe Lewis was gift wrapped the victory against Holyfield in the rematch because of the scandal from the first fight. Lewis was clearly robbed the first time, but he was hurt more times in the second fight than he hurt Evander.
It could go either way, as far as I'm concerned. Although I think (like Bowe, apparently) that Lewis would've beaten the Bowe that fought Holyfield three times.
well, Holyfield the first or second time would beat Lewis i think.. Espescially the second time, because he really boxed smart there
The Holyfield that fought Bowe in their 3rd fight was suffering from Hepatitis so get KO'ed by a prime Lewis. The Holyfield who fought Bowe a second time tried to box with Bowe and that would never work with Lewis. Lewis wins an easy decision. Holyfield in the first Bowe fight was in his prime and fought in an aggressive style so would have the best chance to beat Lewis. Personally I'd still pick Lewis who showed in their 2 fights that when he stuck to the jab was able to control the fight. Prime Holyfield does better but not enough to win.
You don't think the Holyfield of Bowe II could adapt to a style that was necessary to beat Lewis but would rather stubbornly attempt to box Lewis from a distance because it's what he did at parts against Bowe? The Holyfield of Bowe II could be just as aggressive as the Holyfield of Bowe I, the difference being that he realized he couldn't take the fight to a bigger, stronger Bowe who could fight it out on the inside.
