I think so too. He was in woeful condition for the Rahman fight and still gave Hasim a hell of a go. A guy like Czyz gave Holyfield a decent fight, whereas Sanders blew him out almost contemptuously.

But could Lewis last through a 19 year, 69 fight period and to the age of 39 without losing, even against that same list? As it stands Lennox only fought for 14 years, had only 44 pro fights and was done by the age of 37. Yet he still acquired two losses to men of fringe level.

Agreed. Not sure I'd pick him to beat Povetkin as Alexander was pretty durable, hard hitting, and had skills. But I've never been overly impressed with Chagaev, Haye, Pulev or Ibragimov. David Haye never did anything at heavyweight worth mentioning.. I mean literally nothing. Beating Derick Chisora is his legacy over 200 lbs. Pulev is unimpressive and lacks power for a bigger guy. We saw how easily he was dispatched by even a past prime Wlad. Iggy got his name by decisioning ancient versions of Holy and Briggs in snooze fest affairs. Chagaev was a good fighter but I'm only 50/50 on him beating sanders.

My pick of the bunch would also be Povetkin. I think he'd have the chin to take Sanders' shots and the wherewithall to return fire. It would be a mouthwatering slugfest. I don't think guys that are much smaller than Sanders are going to have much of a chance.

I think McCline beats Sanders...but it is an interesting fight. I think prime Peter beats Sanders too. But these are good good fights.

They were fluke losses...and his great power and strength, added savvy coupled with his cautious streak..that "Plan B" style he beat Holyfield with would make him oh so formidable vs any of Wlad's opponents IMO.

A loss is a loss. And he proved he could lose not once but twice in a career that was shorter in both age and duration to Wlad's.

A fluke loss would be tripping over your own feet and KOing yourself. That's a fluke. Landing a bomb on your foe and KOing him while fighting for the HW championship of the world isn't a fluke loss, it's called a KO loss

1st and only stage of Herolturd logic.....talk about Wlad and Calzaghe 24/7 whilst not holding down a full time job....

    Sad but true.
