So this workout has done what to your body?

I've never seen anyone claim to be an expert or know everything.

Why exactly are the guys that know how to train optimally the ones that are likely to be "fat tubs of ****". What you just said is ****ing ******ed.

    Clearly.

Explain with your very limited knowledge why 3x20 is the best to do, if you can't explain why you should do something don't give the advice.

Just from experience I have noticed when I do high amounts of sets with with lower reps for instance I have noticed I get stronger, but over a shorter period of time. I do the higher reps for muscular endurance.

I will like I have done in the past, unfortunately I am "working" making a living, and can't do it for you at this moment. and I will post pictures of my body transformation from November until now. and just because someone claims they train properly doesn't mean they actually do. Also, I may not train "optimally", but I am still the only person to hook this guy up with a regimen that will increase muscular endurance. Even if someone isn't training optimally, any type of exercise can get you into the right shape with the right amount of intensity and proper form.

But if you have a better workout regimen, which you might, go ahead and post it I would love to try something new, I been doing this weightlifting program for a little bit, mind as well try something new

By the way what videos have you posted ****, only thing I read from your posts is how much of an expert you claim to be. I wouldn't even take something you say with a grain of sale.

Giving very basic advice on training means I claim to be an expert and I'm a ****? :patsch Are you upset because your routine is ****?

I wouldn't take anything I say with a grain of "sale" either. :huh

If you want to ignore my advice (even though I have a clue) then go ahead.

I don't see why you're insulting me for being knowledgeable on a subject you're ignorant of?

You do realise muscular endurance is useless unless it's sports specific don't you? I guess not.

I have many, many routines, but since I'm a "****" or "fat tub of ****" I won't bother telling you exactly why you're wrong with your awful routine. :good

I posted up an article specifically related to strength training for combat athletes. Give it a read a realise just how horrible the routine you posted up really is. Reading one article won't make you an expert, but you should certainly pick up a little bit of knowledge.

:rofl:rofl:rofl Hey loser, I do CrossFit 6 days a week, have videos and I run ultramarathons. My current routine is now being done AFTER I've blown "workouts" like yours out of the water.

Do you REALLY want to do this with me and be taken to a whole new level of butthurt?

Loser ok, since you are making personal attacks without even knowing me. I also do crossfit, you can search some of my past threads and see that. Pretty cool you do ultramarathons, and to be honest I wasn't directing anything towards what you say, because you do post some useful things quite regularly, and butthurt from an internet forum I don't think that is possible. Considering the fact that this forum isn't real life, and I get to see my family who I havent seen in 5 months in the next ten days, I am not sure you have the capability to take me to a "whole new level of butthurt", and I am not interested in finding out anyways that you partake in this "whole new level of butthurt"

I read it, and it was an awesome article. However, my routine might be horrible, but there is not one specific way to train.

See, people take that "there is no one right way to train" line and run with it to the extremes. You are correct, there is no one specific 'correct' way to train, but there are plenty of wrong ways to train as well. You are also correct in that as long as you are training consistently, with good form and keeping the intensity up, then you are going to see results. But again, people run with that assumption and take it to ridiculous extremes and use it to justify doing idiotic or pointless things in the gym.

What you posted/what you've been doing is almost a perfect example of what not to do to build strength for combat sports/boxing. Seriously, doing that kind of routine 4 days a week and running what was it? 4-5 miles five times a week? You'd have bugger all time or energy left to actually train in the sport you're trying to be fit for.

This is part of the summary from that article, most people in the know would agree that this is a good outline for anyone trying to get stronger for almost any sport:

-Train the body as a unit, not a collection of small pieces
    - - Your routine is built entirely around isolation exercises
-Focus most of your time around compound movements
    - - Only one of your days has more than one compound movement, 'day 2', when you're doing 3 sets of 20 bent over rows, followed by 3 sets of 20(!) deadlifts.
    -Develop a strong core
    - - Due to the glaring lack of compound exercises, your routine would do very little for core strength, and the only time you do squats you're doing it on a smith machine.
-Incorporate variety into your strength program
    - - Can't really argue with that...
-Never sacrifice skill and conditioning for strength work
    - - Covered this above
    -Focus on quality over quantity
    - - Perhaps your biggest folly, you're doing loads of different things, but not focusing on anything except doing lots of reps on lots of different things.
-Keep strength workouts brief, 2 to 3 days per week
    - - Closely related to the above point. Even done as a circuit that workout would take ages. 3 sets of 20 for everything is just crazy, and would do little for strength gains.

You make a lot of awesome points, that I should consider. I figured I would add I do my boxing workouts for around an hour a day. They include jumping rope, shadow boxing, double end bag, heavy bag, and the occassional spar when I got someone who trains for boxing. It is hard being here with no trainer or anything to tell me what I am doing wrong, or ways to trainer smarter and not harder. Like I said I train close to 3 hours a day 5-6 days a week. If there is a way to trainer better then I am all ears.

I take what you said about the thread I created that I and many posters contributed to, especially since I've spent countless hours of research and testing it to see what would and wouldn't work in combat situations, very personal.

This forum IS real life because some of us that give advice actually do and compete and we try to pass it on to those willing to listen. When Virus, Mr. Small, lefty or Brown Bomber speak up, I shut the **** up and digest what they say because they know and BB competes at a much higher level thn you'll ever probably see.

I don't give a **** about whether you see your family or not, what I do give a **** about is you giving some newb the wrong impression and pushing a shitty program that will more than likely end up failing them. THAT'S what bothers me.
