The first two rounds are really good so far ! In the first round, the black guy applied constant pressure and easily threw over a 100 blows, but the white guy showed great calmness, blocked a lot of shot and countered effectively. The black guy is a bit too sloppy, specially with his left hook, but he looks confident in his power and chin. Will comment on the rest after work.
White shorts was precise and saw early on that the Indian guy was a bit sloppy. I cringed at the left hooks to the body in the 3rd he landed, 3 of them. The Indian kid was cocky and sloppy. Neither guy could throw a right hand off a left hook, or vice versa, which would have served both... The Indian kid was obviously tired in the 5th. The right guy won. The cocky kid obviously loved fighting, but should have tightened up his punching instead of being cocky.
Thanks guys.. I asked you comments since I found this fight way too much sloppy.. No real skill involved except for the high punching work rate, I guess. Both of them were just throwing bombs but never really bothered if it really hurt the other. So posted here to see if my views are same as most.. Or am i wrong? Thanks!!
i thought this was a good fight, both guys were novices, but what I like is the set up World Series of Boxing is a pretty cool idea. Kind of like the IFL for MMA
They sure are not novices.. Most of them have atleast participated in either Olympics or Asian games or Commonwealth or some equivalents..
The two guys I watched fight don't look like very experienced fighters from what I seen. I don't know their names, or their past or who they fought, just stating from my observation.
Yes. This is close to what I'm thinking.. These guys are ameature fighters at big level and looking at them fighting like this seems very akward. That is why I wanted to check if what I observe was the same as the general view.. Most of the fights were like that. The fighters gets to retain their ameature statue while fight this pro series. But this is very different fromt he pro fights.. Thanks guys!!
What I liked out the series was how it is team based. It was pretty cool. What did you think about the team format?
It is a wonderful series, overall. Here in India they don't give importance to Pro boxing.. This is a chance to change things. I'm familiar with most of the Indian fighters as we get to seem them in International ameature boxing events.. Watching them doing pro fight is a boost to the sport.. And the theme for this series is very new.. Its the second season and we are excited :bbb Thanks for asking mate :good
And the team format, As I understand, there are several fighters for one weight category and they shuff them for every week/fight.. And a team/country can have fighters from else where other than their country too which makes the series even more nice..
Sure.. No probs mate.. That fight was bit crazy and that is why I started this thread in the first place.. So it a honest mistake
