Lennox had some trouble with a tough guy in Ray Mercer,Ray was a very good fighter with a good strong jab.Old Sonny had a very good jab,even better than Mercer.Could Sonny out do lewis from the Mercer fight,say Sonny from about 1960-1963.it wouldnt be pretty.
Keep in mind that Lewis just started working with Emmanuel Stewart so that may have contributed to his performance. I do think Liston would probably knock out Lewis, but Lewis could do the same. Hard to say...
lewis would have a 30lb weight advantage. there is always that chance liston could catch lennox napping - the way rahman did but I am inclind to think lennox would come out blasting against liston like he did against golota, grant and ruddock who at the time posed simular danger to Liston. I would root for liston but expect a Lennox win.
