As he did Walcott ? Lewis of the V Klitschko bout , similar in age as Jersey . Could Marciano , the younger guy wear down LL ? 12 round s
I'd favor him to do so Lewis was alot slower in his fight with Vitali, and Marciano could really work the body. Marciano might get cut like Vitali did, but honestly that only makes him more dangerous. Rocky would triple the workrate and stop old Lewis
For the love of all that is holy, can we stop with the marciano vs modern shw threads knowing good and damn well it'll become a 15 page war?
It's a difficult one to judge to be honest. Lewis showed a lot of weakness in that fight, but he still beat the cr4p out of Vitally f****** Klitschko! In some ways this fight shows how dangerous he was!
Nope. Lewis took Vitali's right hand without going down. And I highly doubt Marciano would have been able to absorb the right handers that Lewis landed on Vitali without hitting the canvas.
And then when a slightly older Lewis showed up focussed he blew Rahman out of the water. Now are you so intellectually dishonest as to choose the worst version of an old Lewis in this conversation?
How's I see it to . Marciano comes crashing in and starts thumping away at Lewis . Lennox maybe realising that he's got a dangerous little bull here , he'd know he'd have to get to him fast .He know s he can't go 12 rounds with this fella banging away ,so Lewis would be in there throwing caution to the wind and his more lethal shots at Rocky .
He's too small. Lewis has a 16" reach advantage, or around that. He has a near seventy pound weight advantage. Six or seven inches in height. An "ageing Lewis" was able to stop Vitali Klitschko and whatever the controversy surrounding that fight, he was able to meet him on equal ground. Marciano was special, he was great, and anything is possible with great fighters. But I don't believe that anyone - anyone - would favour Marciano after the weigh in. I just can't believe anybody would seriously suggest it. Similarly, I would not pick Sandy Saddler to beat Tommy Hearns.
