Would Margarito ever be able to come back from all this and still be a force at WW?

He is still a force at WW.
Although I think that Cotto will beat him in June.

When the Zab Judah's and collazos of the world are able to go the distance with him then he needs to seriously consider retirement.

Different circumstances entirely, but I see a Jose Luis Castillo-like career twilight for Margarito, assuming he's not suspended indefinitely come Feb. 10. Between age, mileage, and the beating he took from Shane, I'll be surprised if he returns to being the kind of force he was.

Beating Cotto was the zenith of his career, and now in all honesty, who knows what to make of that fight?

If he gets cleared of the scandal or it's swept under the rug...YES, he could.
Somebody like Paul Williams were outboxed 12 rounds by Carlos Quintana. He knocks the dude out in the 1st round, and his name was cleared. Now, he's the biggest smack talker in boxing, and willing to fight in 3 divisions....and although there are people that are willing to fight him...There are very few guys with a lot to lose that are willing to fight him!!!

I think he can be, but it remains to be seen. The guy is 30 and has already had a long and tough career of 15 years. Although right now he's clearly still a big name at welterweight and 1 loss isn't going to change that.

Margarito has been in physical decline for quite some time now. The brain beating he took from Mosley likely ruined his chances of staying viable for a few more fights, but the chances of that were questionable anyway.

I feel he is done. He's been fighting a long time, and has fought great comp. I think his time is up. Is he a h.o.f fighter...I don't know.

Given that all the recent hate on him is due to the loaded gloves accusations, if he is found innocent, then there is no reason why he couldn't continue the path he is currently on.

I don't think he took that bad a beating from Mosley, I think he just wasn't 100% for that fight. I mean, sure, he was busted up and bleeding, but I don't think it will have any lasting damage on him. I think his pride was hurt more than anything.

I think he will beat Cotto everytime, and Cotto wants to be careful of getting cocky and believing the handwrap scandal, because it may well cause his further downfall if they ever rematch.

Somebody get the gun... This mother****er has got to go. If taking clean flush punches round after round being knocked out on your feet about twice. Its always the hard heads that get that permanent damage.

Barring a lengthy suspension I'd think we would see Margorito involved in a couple more big fights. Be it at welter or jr middleweight there are a lot of good fighters out there. I think the beating Margorito took from Mosley may have lingering effects. He took a ton of big head shots from Mosley so it will be interesting to see what he has left. I think the Cotto win will be his career peak and he'll never be as highly rated as he was, but he'll be in a few more big fights. If I was Cotto I'd put the rematch off a bit longer if I could.

Dude, learn how to properly structure a sentence...I'm waiting to hear the end of this one:

"If taking clean flush punches round after round being knocked out on your feet about twice."

    WTF does that mean bro?
